I wasn’t going to mention it, but on Friday John again made the specious, but to his way of thinking, relativistic case that American slavery wasn’t… “that bad“. Uh-huh.
To do so, like all good white supremacy advocates, he points to how few (he claims) Africans were actually first deposited in what became the US, directly from Dakar, Senegal — one of the few sources of reliable records.
So… he willfully then ignores that the vast bulk of Caribbean slaves, or their offspring, were ultimately sold or shipped on, into the US, often decades after arrival in the Caribbean — from Africa.
He also ignores that the US was the last Western democracy to outlaw slavery. And that there were possibly millions born into bondage here — as an incentive to keep plantations operating… even into the virtual bondage of the 20th Century Jim Crow laws, and penal work gangs.
Indeed, it is likewise true that slaves from many other New World locations were sold into what became Louisiana — but the territory was then… in French hands. So he ignores it, in his tallies, as well.
In sum, this “defense” is willful, bad faith… lying.
Finally, he suggests that because slavery still exists in parts of the world, we Americans ought to be cut some slack — and public school teachers should stop teaching children (so much) about the harrowing slave trade’s affect on Americans who were not white males owning property. There is no logic to a “moral relativist’s view” here. None.
I disagree with John.
And the Southern Poverty Law Center is correct to label John’s site a white supremacy apologist “hate site”, in 2019.
Thus, his site’s ad revenue is down 75% from last year.
That’s your karma, baby. It has come callin’.
Out.
On Sunday night, likely to avoid having to talk honestly — about Trump’s cashiering Secretary Spencer (for opposing Trump’s attempts to honor a sadistic, now court-martialed Navy Seal war criminal)…
From Ukrainian then, that reads: “Трамп закручений” — or Trump is… SCREWED.
Is it a… crime? Yes it is. It is well beyond merely “improper” — and Paul himself had said so, just last week.
Because of the stark contrast — black and white — from the usual fantasy / alternate reality pieces of all stripes… on
So I will salute the realist, in Paul — even if he is arriving very late to this party.
John will

Last night, John complained bitterly… that it seemed someone or group of someones… was
Even so, this is not the way to go. Personally, I believe more speech — usually liberally infused with ridicule — of his uniformly loony bin notions… is the right answer to that malevolent, often hateful speech.

I’ll make short work of this, as the new GOP strategy to fighting impeachment is to admit Trump committed several felonies, but then say “it’s normal, since it was only a short time…” or [the alternative formulation] “a brief period” — of violating federal criminal law.
We shall, indeed see. But normalizing felonies [by admitting them, in writing — then distracting…] is something the principled people in the old GOP would never have attempted.
Once again, Mr. Hinderaker has multi-posted on obscure religious developments, in one
And as to Kimye — that is no story at all. Who cares?
Well. I. Love. This: over the weekend, Powerline
I don’t even know where to start — except to assume that Trump directly “ordered” Mr. Hinderaker to
He’s right. It won’t be told — because not a word of it is true. It is just the projection of these moronic would-be criminal syndicate members — to cover Manafort’s work FOR Trump, in the Ukraine — and elsewhere.
