Music City Hoodwinked Into A “Super-Spreader Event” By An Out-Of-State Carpet-Bagger, Claiming To Be A “Preacher”…

To be fair, there are at least some marginal religious freedom issues here — but the fact that this guy held a completely unauthorized mass event, after being denied by Nashville officials… is all I need to know about his vain pride, and sinful ego [and the Carpenter. . . he would tell him so. . . he is the hypocrite in the temple (Matthew 23:4-6), in this telling].

In the time of a global pandemic, with over 214,000 already dead in the US… “time, place and manner(s)” would be the correct view here. But his lawyers are presumably hammering on the “shall make no law” phrasing of the First Amendment (in a misreading of the cases). This is, at best, horribly irresponsible. No one is persecuting “christians” — by asking them not to do things that place everyone else in a city… in their damage path.

It is just a very, very odd time, in America, I guess — with these small c christians plainly not caring a whit — about even their own brothers and sisters. Here’s the story — from the Daily Beast, overnight:

…“We just feel this call to really target cities that are under extreme turmoil and despair and brokenness,” said Feucht, who ran for Congress this year in the California Republican primary and lost, in a podcast in September. “That’s why we’ve gone into places like Portland, downtown Portland a block from the riots.”

But… Feucht is “being pathologically dishonest about a mythical narrative of Christian persecution. Churches are not closed. They never have been. Many of us have had to go virtual for a time because loving our neighbor is our primary calling as Christians and right now loving our neighbor means not exposing them to a deadly virus, but we still had church, even if it was online. We were never singled out for our faith.”

…[A]dded Hunt [and your erstwhile Editor here], “I would be shocked if he was held accountable in any meaningful way.”

“He’s already on his way to his next sanctified superspreader event,” he added….

This all will sort itself out, once we have some more competent national leadership. Out — with the haunting warm rains abating here. . . smile.

Hinderaker Pretends To Think COVID-19 Amelioration Is… Politics, Not Science: Idiot.

He apparently gave a preposterously unscientific speech on it last week, at some far right excuse for a… college (sort of). He thus plainly misled impressionable (if likewise feckless) youths, in his purely ideological quest for what amounts to an accelerating (via non-scientific thinking) US killing field, for the elderly. [To be clear — all of these remarks of mine — and his — relate solely to the COVID experience/data, in the USA.]

Y A W N….

The indelible irony of it all is that many many prominent GOP members have now tested positive, and/or are sick with the virus — while comparatively very very few prominent Democrats are… and this ought to tell John that his entire thesis is…exactly bassakwards. [Hint: it is not political — it is about science.]

He points to what he calls the “lack of fear” of COVID, in GOP ranks, and what he says are Democratic institutions only “lightly impacted” by the virus — all to conclude this is an illusory danger that Democrats, in the main, perceive.

But the available US empirical data conclusively establishes just the opposite: it more closely fits a model of willful ignorance, and flouting of well-established scientific principles for arrest of the transmission mechanisms, and sadly enough, for them — by prominent Republicans.

This is not a party / divide issue — this is a refusal to accept clearly established bio-science… issue.

As I close, I will admonish again — no one should take SERIOUSLY… anything on the topic a man who said (and never admitted his lie!) that the dying was “mostly at an end” in the USA, back in mid-July (then with around 150,000 dead) — since we are over 214,000 dead, this afternoon.

And positive cases are spiking in many parts of the country — so we may be at a quarter of a million dead — by Christmas.

John’s lying is not just immoral — it is increasingly lethal, to his clearly ignorant (and perhaps willfully ignorant) readership. But he does bear responsibility for feeding this vile and false narrative to them.

[U: Sworn Court Proof] Since Hinderaker Is Prone To Lie About It… We Will Cover It: Federal Detention Hearing In Michigan, Tomorrow.

UPDATED 9 AM EDT 10.13.2020: Here is the in-court public testimony of a Special Agent of the FBI, as proof. Shut your mouth, Hinderaker. End, update.

The far right, white domestic terror squad that called itself the Wolverine Watchmen… will be pulled before a federal Magistrate Judge in Grand Rapids tomorrow, individually, and told that they will be detained in a federal facility until trial — likely without any hope of bond/bail. They each have a separate public defender now, so the race is on — to offer testimony against one another, in hopes of at least one of them avoiding a sentence of natural life, without any hope of parole.

None of this will matter — and I predict if there is bond, it will be over $5 million. Each.

Like Mr. Chauvin, the ex-Minneapolis police officer, I suppose some wealthy group of racists might post perhaps $30 million in bond — but I doubt it.

No, I will confidently predict these will all be… no-bail arraignments. Here are the electronic details — for the dial in: “…Public audio access (listen only) for the 10/13/2020 9:30 AM hearing will be available by phone at (888) 363-4734 with Access Code 6957754#….”

All I ask is that the readers do not believe John Hinderaker, if he tries (again) to tell you these goons are antifa (or some such). They are all part of the far-right Michigan Second Amendment movement, seeking a civil war (a la the infamous Boogaloo Bois — Trump’s “stand back, and stand by” guys).

If I am wrong about any of the above, I will prominently note it tomorrow, after the hearing.

But I won’t be… wrong. Here endeth the sermon. And… seriously, dude — stop lying John.

Way Off-World, This Morning: Star Being Shredded By Large Black Hole… Interstellar Science.

This (at right) is kinda’ like what it feels like, watching the ACB hearings get underway… a vast sucking… darkness.

But there will be light, soon — as the below youtube makes plain. The remote learning / home schooling lesson in deep space science (late grade school appropriate) on it all may be found right at this link.

“…Although powerful and bright, up to now astronomers have had trouble investigating this burst of light, which is often obscured by a curtain of dust and debris. Only now have astronomers been able to shed light on the origin of this curtain.

“We found that, when a black hole devours a star, it can launch a powerful blast of material outwards that obstructs our view,” explains Samantha Oates, also at the University of Birmingham. This happens because the energy released as the black hole eats up stellar material propels the star’s debris outwards….”

We will push through — move forward — resist, and ultimately prevail. The considerable weight of a large majority of the free people is now on our side. We will not be denied.

Does Hinderaker Know That The FBI’s In-Court Documents Put The Lie To This — On The “Wolverine Watchmen”?!

Unlike Paul M. on Friday (making an at least plausibly good faith, but empty headed error)– here on Sunday night, Hinderaker willfully lies about the two ex-Marines, and the ring leader, charged in the Whitmer kidnap plot. All to avoid labeling them as what they are — a hard right white domestic terror squad. Likely White Supremacists, to boot. Just John’s kind of people, in truth.

John obviously didn’t read the Michigan FBI charging documents — trying to blame the Wolverine Watchmen on… anarchists. Here are the facts:

The FBI had informants, on the inside of the plot. They were all being… recorded. By far, over 90 per cent of all the talk was anti-Democratic Party, and Pro-Trump.

Facts matter. Hinderaker would do well to read the charging documents, before spouting off — with his vast, blithering lies. His attempts at deceit are themselves… embarrassing — in that they are so easily refuted.

Out.

Trump Lies — Tells Fox He Is Now “Immune” To COVID-19, One Week After Respiratory Distress From It.

This is simply… a lie. And Fox said… nothing. The network is now responsible for all the excess deaths Trump’s rallies cause.

As good as the Regeneron monoclonal antibody cocktail is, and as promising as Remdesivir is… these candidates manifestly do not confer immunity. Only a vaccine will do that. Here is The Guardian (UK) reporting on it:

…In a wide ranging 30-minute interview on Fox News on Sunday, Trump insisted he was completely free of the virus, without providing medical evidence, and further claimed, implausibly, he was immune after receiving an experimental cocktail of antibodies, antiviral drugs and steroids during his hospital stay….

This man is a danger to himself, and more importantly to his nation. Vote this ignorant, lying, non-sciencing A$$ out.

Hinderaker: All In A Lather — As White Privilege Seems To Be Inexorably On The Wane… Except As To Cops.

In a post ostensibly to complain about the unfair treatment of a town that keeps racist symbols on its official local police patch to this day (in Gettysburg), John finds time to ignore the well-settled law of police arrest responsibilities… the history of the US, and the idea than never in the last century of the recorded history of the United States (and certainly not before then) has a black homicide defendant been granted bail, and allowed to relocate anonymously, out of state — to await trial in comfort of a warm home — to, in short, pretend he isn’t a murderer, until time for trial. As though it all… never happened.

That, my friends… is white [Police version] privilege.

But no — rather than dig through all of that — I’ll address the only Hinderaker lie I really care about this late Sunday morning (as John presumably leaves his house of worship — hypocrite!): John would imply that some form of qualified immunity exists for a police officer, on a scene, who has already subdued someone (Mr. Floyd) he has placed in custody — under arrest, in hand-cuffs, unarmed, on the pavement, face down, with the officer’s knee on the neck of the arrestee.

That is not the law. There is no immunity to act recklessly in this situation, as there is literally no conceivable danger left, to the officer — with three fellow officers standing guard around him. Yet as we well-know, from video evidence, Chauvin does not get up — does not get off the cut-off airway of Mr. Floyd for over eight minutes — all while Mr. Floyd is pleading for his life. It is well-settled law is that once the officer has the arrestee in this posture, he becomes absolutely responsible for the safe transport of said person.

This is so, because the person cannot do anything to help themselves in this position. So what if Mr. Floyd had a quantity of fentanyl in his system, John? It. Is. Irrelevant. Officer Chauvin was required to be at least reasonably careful, and to keep him alive, at a minimum, for transport. Mr. Floyd was pleading for his life. Chauvin ignored these documented pleas, for over eight minutes — (in a reckless form of depravity, at a minimum) thereby “executing” a defenseless man, on the spot.

[BTW, John — who might have posted that $1 million bail for Chauvin? Is that relevant? Your rich white supremacist friends, perhaps?! We know he doesn’t have that kind of scratch unless he is a dirty cop, from the go. And while we are at it, why don’t you mention that Chauvin clearly had prior dealings with / knew Mr. Floyd, and likely, the evidence will show, had a grudge against him from prior off-duty security work, at a south Minneapolis nightclub? If the fentanyl is relevant, then Officer Chauvin’s use of force to collect a likely gambling or drug debt from Mr. Floyd… is likewise relevant.]

But I’ll simply end where I began: John is, without serious doubt, a full-on hood wearing racist, here.

Out.

Trump’s Move To Rush The TikTok Appeal (As Of Last Night) Will… Be Futile.

I mention this as a matter of odd curiousity, primarily. Trump claims urgency in his appeal, on TikTok — that is nowhere evident in his permanent injunction briefing, in the trial court (which is proceeding on a parallel time-frame).

The literally schizophrenic signals — from Team Trump, as to dealing with TikTok’s win, in the trial courts… may indeed be due to the utter chaos at the top of this mal-administration. Or (per Occam’s Razor) it may just be… poor lawyering.

Here is the latest, in the DC Appeals Court, overnight, from TikTok — and a bit:

…The government’s actions in the district court are plainly at odds with its demand for expedition in this appeal. After the government proposed and secured that schedule to slow down the proceedings on the other Prohibitions, ensuring there would be no final judgment issued in the near future by the district court as to the validity of any of the Prohibitions, the government now asks this Court to speed up appellate proceedings on the preliminary injunction that was entered as to the first Prohibition. The government’s delay in filing a notice of appeal on the preliminary injunction of the first Prohibition and its unwillingness to advance expeditiously the proceedings toward final judgment in the district court on the remaining Prohibitions demonstrate that there is no urgency to the government’s appeal….

One might also infer that Trump’s lawyers well-know he will lose on the other prohibitions, as violative of the free expression clause of the First Amendment — and want that decision to come after the election — but also want it to appear that they are actively challenging the trial court, on appeal. Almost as silly as Trump’s notion to emerge from Walter Reed, and display a Superman “S” under his suit, last Monday. . . I kid you not — that was his plan, per pool reports. It actually makes the above seem… normal, by comparison.

I N S A N E.

Despite what his sycophant MDs say — he is nearly certainly still shedding the virus. And he will have a rally, come Monday, with thousands, he says — in Sanford, Florida. Crazy; dangerous and darkly malignant.

It will not matter — he will certainly lose, now:

Hinderaker… Has Conceded: Trump Will Lose. And Lose — Bigly.

I won’t even bother to dissect or address his opening lies, about Reagan-ism, or Clinton-bashing, or Obama-bashing…

As the only point of this post is that John now admits… Trump cannot win. And Trump is likely to lose, in a landslide now.

I will note though, that Hinderaker says that Trump is losing in part due to Corona — according to John something Trump “could not have done anything about“….

Hilariously… sad. He caught it himself, due entirely to his own fecklessnes — and that’s before we discuss the 213,500 he’s allowed to perish.

A “Use Injunction” Against Trump And Barr — And Their “Star Chamber” — Is Warranted In Federal (DC Dist.) NAACP Case.

The able USDC Judge Bates in DC has ordered that Trump and Barr may not use their “star chamber report” — at least for now. [The irony of law enforcement “commissions” ignoring well settled federal statutory law, about conducting meetings in the open, so that “We, the People” may have input… (and meeting in clandestine fashion) is… well, palpable.]

It is time now to decide whether that state of affairs will become… permanent. The NAACP Legal Defense Fund capably argues that it should. I agree. These violations of open meetings, and “fair balance” federal laws were not inadvertent or incidental — they were knowing and willful. Here is the Judge’s order, and the NAACP’s fine memo of law. And a bit more, from the pen of USDC Judge Bates:

….[NAACP] LDF is thus entitled to writs of mandamus compelling defendants Keith, Sullivan, and the Commission to file a charter with the necessary entities as required by 5 U.S.C. app. 2 § 9(c) and to provide timely notice of its meetings going forward as required by 5 U.S.C. app. 2 § 10(a)(2). LDF is also entitled to injunctive relief requiring defendant Barr to appoint a designated federal officer as required by 5 U.S.C. app. 2 § 10(e) and 41 C.F.R. § 102-3.120. Further, LDF is entitled to injunctive relief requiring defendant Barr to ensure the Commission has a fairly balanced membership. The Court will order the parties to submit briefing on proposed remedial orders to determine the precise content of that injunction and any other relief. In the meantime, the Court will order that Commission proceedings be halted and that defendants may not submit, publish, or rely on any report or recommendations produced by the Commission until the requirements of FACA are satisfied….

[As The LDF argues, now: The Barr] Commission never responded to Plaintiff’s concerns, and instead held at least 38 hearings after Plaintiff’s first letter dated March 31, 2020. After receiving no substantive response to its letters, Plaintiff brought suit on April 30, 2020. The Commission continued holding closed door hearings and in fact accelerated its pace of work. Although Defendant Attorney General William P. Barr instructed the Commission to complete its report by October 28, 2020, the Commission appears to have submitted the report to the Attorney General two months ahead of schedule. See Dkt. No. 40-12. One working group member noted that the secrecy and speed with which the Commission was creating the report seemed to indicate the Commission was designed to justify a predetermined set of conclusions, not engage in a truly rigorous study of law enforcement and justice….

Defendants must not be able to publish or rely on the Commission’s recommendations without full remedy of the FACA violations. Indeed, this Court has already ordered as much. See Dkt. No. 44 at 2–3. And, given the breadth of the FACA violations and the fact that the existing Commission has already completed its work, a use injunction is the only viable remedy. Such an injunction would still allow the Commission to use work product that has already been completed (such as hearing transcripts), but only if the Commission takes specific and concrete steps to — as much as reasonably practicable — restart its inquiry afresh with a newly constituted membership that complies with FACA….

Compare that, to the Trumper lawyers telling a sitting USDC Judge, that despite the above commands (in blue) of the court’s own orders — these laws are only for the “little people” — they don’t apply… to MayoSapiensTM. [My new favorite “Urban Dictionary” euphemism — for entitled medicore old… white guys.]
