Okay — tonight, Mr. Hinderaker preposterously opines — in yet another foray into moral relativism — that no president ought to be impeached when the stock market is… rising.
I guess I missed that part — in the Jefferson / Franklin / Hamilton / Washington and Madison-authored national founding documents. But no matter, John’s opinion has been succinctly put, thus — from his own keyboard:

Mr. Hinderaker, please do now meet Mr. Paul Mirengoff — he is your fellow blogger, of now nearly two solid decades, day in and day out. Hmm. Kinda’ surprised you didn’t bump into him at the communal Powerline coffee pot, at some point.
In any event, here is his opinion — from just two scant weeks ago:

This. Is. Unlawful. 2 U.S.C. § 682, et seq., the Impoundment Control Act — signed into law, post Nixon and Watergate, prevents him from doing so, as a high crime and misdemeanor.
