Scott Johnson: Fully… Senile. [On Top Of Finding Shadowy “Conspiracies” At Cadwalader, Two Days Ago.]

So, this morning Mr. Johnson would tell the world that someone who holds no federal office, and has been a local prosecutor, elected by the people of his city, for many years… is being controlled by a federal office holder, in a vast, shadowy conspiracy…

Where the sole objective… is to… enforce the law as it is written? Okay. [Do see the John Edwards prosecution.] The decline of all the codgers over at Powerline is now in full-on, stark relief.

Just before that piece of unadulterated lunacy, Scott took a tome of about 13 chapters (plus an Appendix!? Yikes!), and used it as a clunking metaphor for some complaint he has about Hunter Biden. Any critique that needs a piece of classic literature, and 14 chapters to explain… is probably just a delusional fever dream, Scott. Do try the decaf.

[To be clear… he probably is NOT senile. Which means… he is simply a paid shill — a lying propagandist tool for the Mercers / Sacklers / Wynns / Murdochs of the world.]

How so? He shows that he understands what is really going on — in the piece where he admits the results from Tuesday night in Chicago and Wisconsin… reflect that the greatest gift the GOP gave Democratic chances in over a half-century… was letting Clarence Thomas effectively gut Roe v. Wade, in Dobbs. Those are now enduring scars on GOP chances with “the middle of America“.

That, and the fact that, as a brand now, the GOP stands largely for xenophobia and various forms of intolerant hatred… and tax cuts for billionaires (only).

Cheers, buddie!

It’s Often Hard To Tell What Portion Of The “Bio-Bucks” Actually Eventually Get Funded, In Cash — At R&D Shops… But Still Impressive.

This very new company — it just formed a proper board of directors two months ago — Proxygen, in Austria, has already racked up some world class collaborators, and joint target funders.

So today we read that it added US Merck to the roster (of course, in the EU, our Merck is called MSD). It already had a deal with German Merck (no relation) for what may be up to around $554 million in bio-bucks, from last fall. It also has a deal with Boehringer Ingelheim (from 2020 — funding terms wholly undisclosed — withheld).

Yep. That is pretty heady company, already. Here’s Fierce with the latest:

…Proxygen’s molecular glue ambitions are continuing to take shape as the Austrian biotech sticks together a third licensing deal in less than three years….

The company has signed a licensing agreement with Merck & Co. worth more than $2.55 billion in biobucks, according to an announcement Wednesday. How much the biotech is receiving upfront, or how many targets it is offering the U.S. Big Pharma, remains undisclosed….

Proxygen has been able to stay under the radar in part because the biotech hasn’t taken any venture capital money, relying solely on grants and upfront payments received from the trio of deals.

With a handful of external projects and ongoing internal development, Proxygen would appear to have its work cut out, though Boidol didn’t exclude the potential for another deal within the next year and half. He acknowledged that the team has “a lot of things that we’re executing at the moment….”

Proxygen’s potential [lies in its ability] to churn out molecular glue degraders, druglike compounds that stick problematic proteins with ubiquitin ligase, destroying the protein….

Now you know — this has the potential to make many diseases (previously considered “undruggable”) amenable to a new class of drugs, called molecular glue degraders. Instead of merely inhibiting a harmful protein’s function, molecular glue degraders eliminate the protein completely. They do this by reprogramming the natural protein recycling machinery present in every cell.

Onward grinning — after a wonder-filled day with my baby-girl… smile. Six years on, exactly.

Bold Move, Stauffer! Quoting German (Near) Neo-Nazis… To Oppose Rule Of Law, In The USA?! Cool.

Well — this is simply… self refuting.

I’ll let my graphic do most of the work, but Betsy seems to think she will convince US hard-right frothers, by quoting with approval… some German (MP Petr Bystron) — only a hair’s width removed from those clowns that “false-flagged” / burned the Reichstag, in 1934, there.

Gutsy, to be sure — but… idiotic. This would also make clear that she cannot find serious support for her rancid views, even inside her own US party. Hilarious. [Enjoy living on “the island of misfit toys”, there hun.]

Hey Betsy!

Here’s an idea: why don’t you move to Germany, and join them? While you’re at it, take your three codgers, too. Make it a whole Powerline (illegal aliens’ surge!) into old… Germany.

I know — you won’t. Because you would lose significant freedoms — ones you irresponsibly employ here, stateside. Ones my grandad and his buddies… died to hand to you, you Karen.

See, there are still laws on the books in Germany that criminalize your sort of lying speech (in your case, about 01.06.21 — but glorifying Nazis, too).

Cheers, chucklehead.

You Can Tell By The Tone Of His Tonight, Hinderaker Knows The GOP Lost The WI Sup. Ct.

The 10 pm Hinderaker rant is ostensibly about San Francisco.

But the real anger in his wails is clearly because the more progressive candidate remaining in the run-off… in Chicago won the Mayor’s race… and because we just flipped the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

That will have immediate effects — abortion will remain safe and legal there.

So — yeh, John… I love the city by the bay too. Spent a lot of time there doing tech deals in the late 1990s…

And it is very much the city same as it was in the ’90s, as when I saw it, not three weeks ago. Well, yes — a lil’ tarnished by COVID vacancies… but it will be fine.

It will rise again — not the dark Thunderdome/Bartertown you portray it as.

Go take your sundowners. You’re overdue. And under-medicated.

[U] Hinderaker… Slept Through (Or Never Took) Crim. Law…

True to form, John doesn’t understand the purpose of Mr. Bragg’s Statement of Facts.

It sets up the coming superseding indictment.

And John (as ever) is a clueless fool for whistling past this graveyard, tonight.

Or worse — he does know… and he’s just lying to assuage Tangerine’s preposterously outsized and delusional self-important fantasies. [Especially so, in John’s “update” — late night tonight — praising Tangerine’s whiny cry baby speech at Mar-a-Lago. This is purely unctious pandering, to a bloated, embittered sad old orange man. One who could still wipe John’s 501(c)(3) off the map — and his blog with it… if he put out the word, that Powerline is/was disloyal. Hilarious.]

Either way — John will (again) look every bit the fool — about a year from now.

Cheers, buddie!

About As I Guessed: Hinderaker’s REAL Crowd Size Was ~50 People, Today…

So… as we’ve said at least three times, Hinderaker has become incapable of accepting that the world has left his ideas… in the last century, with him.

He and his 1950s sensibilities / patrician ideas are increasingly being relegated to the nation’s nursing homes… and even… cemeteries.

This is exhibit A — at right. If you look closely, and don’t count press, or members of his own think tank (required to be there, for their jobs)… the audience skews to an age demographic well over 60, overwhelmingly whyte… and likely 2 to 1 male to female.

Oh. And then the crowd that stayed for more than one speaker looks to have been under 30 people… based on watching the whole video, on FB.

Hilarious.

John’s dead enders’ crew of dead enders… are soon to be… dead, actually.

Damn. Good luck with all that Johnnie.

I’ll close with my enduring memory / image of this day being… an arrested, booked and arraigned NY 34 count felony indictee — Hinderaker’s formerly “serious” preznit. First. Ever!

Crypto-Exchange Paxful… Goes… Kaput! [Like Tangerine.]

Another one… gone.

This was what claimed to be a “decentralized”, or peer to peer, exchange — and thus claimed not to be subject to US regulation.

So much for that idea, now.

Its staff has departed — and it is officially saying it is “suspending” operations.

But it is… extinct.

Frozen in the Ice Age, forever, now. A monument. A glacier. Just like the Tangerine one — now being arrested and arraigned in Manhattan. Grin.

Scott Johnson KNOWS How Big Firm “Conflicts Reviews” Work… YAWN.

Johnson tries (impotently) this morning to throw some “stanky-leg” onto the venerable law firm Cadwalader. It is the quintessential NYC monied law firm. The oldest continuous NY law partnership, and likely most prestigious, at least in terms of centuries long reputations in New York.

Scott well-knows that this firm would not want to be associated with someone, whom — by well vetted public documents… has now been shown to have committed multiple public corruption felonies.

So, in addition to the fact that Cadwalader handles much NY city tax work, and so has a positional conflict where the DA is seeking monetary tax penalties as well against Tangerine… the firm has great “reputational” risk in repping him.

So its partner has taken a leave. If he was in good standing, after Tangerine is convicted, the firm will likely ask if he wants to return. But he may too move on, from here — becoming a darling of the Steve Bannon / Roger Stone set. He also repped Paul Manafort. So, he was already starting to get… tarred, by his unsavory clients. Then Tangerine pardoned Manafort — all but confirming the corruption was driven from the top down, in that case.

So — no surprise as to why Cadwalader would say he should hang out his own shingle, for this go ’round.

Shut it, Scott.

I’ll Check The Local / Noon Newscasts In Minneapolis, Today. But If He Gets 50 People, I’ll Be… Shocked.

Well, I’ll say this: you cannot fault him for trying. He’s diving head-first, into a news ocean that is so deep and frothy blue-black — probably only VE Day eclipsed it. [Not that Tangerine, himself, is in any manner important — it is solely that this is the first time a preznit will be a 34-count indicted criminal, in the eyes of the NY law enforcement system. That is… historic. In a bad way.]

So John holds his “old whyte guys shouting ‘get off my lawn, you damn kids!‘ rally” at noon, today, in the State Capitol rotunda area.

And… I predict… almost no one will show.

Even if Tangerine was not being arrested today.

He’s just bodily unable… to accept that the people of Minnesota have already spoken — twice. Two recent elections, and the verdict is… his ideas are decidedly dead-ender ideas.

Last century relics of a patrician culture now (mostly) faded into nursing homes — and cemeteries — dotting the nation.

Sit down, Johnnie. You are an… embarrassment.

Hilarious.

Betsy Stauffer: “Maybe” He Can Win?! Now That’s A… Faint Endorsement!

And, it comes from what is arguably his most ardent support at Powerline.

H I L A R I O U S.

Betsy apparently thinks Tangerine can win in the general, if he can survive the GOP nominating process.

And so… we think she (like John!) needs to up her dosings of… ketamine, each evening. [Or whenever she sits down to write her gibberish.]

In a few hours we will know whether the 34 felonies he’s been indicted on include not just hush money related offenses, but also bank fraud, tax fraud including charity stealings, and perhaps even insurrection and theft of classified documents.

Poor Bitsy. Her derangement syndrome — or Stockholm syndrome if one prefers — won’t let her see that on top of all that, almost no whyte suburban women with college degrees will vote for his ticket. As we saw in 2020, and as we saw by derivation — in 2022 midterms.

And that is all before most suburban whyte women wrote him off for chanting “grab her by the p$ssy.” Charming.

Betsy — “maybe”… you should sit this one out.
