Hey Hinderaker: Treat Trump After 2020, Like Bolton… RIGHT?!

The irony flies literally off the screen / page here.

Hinderaker is busy pontificating about all the bad things that John Bolton did. It doesn’t really matter to me how it came to light, I always thought he was a tool. But I do know that Trump 2.0 targeted him mostly because he had criticized Trump 1.0.

Well, Trump got his revenge today, when Bolton pleaded guilty… And now faces up to five years in jail. [At age 77, that five years — if imposed might well be a natural life sentence. Damnation.]

The primary reason for my post though, is John Hinderaker seems blissfully unaware that his exact same logic and commentary should apply to Donald Trump — shortly after the 2020 transfer of power:

…More importantly, this [TRUMP/Bolton] case illustrates the hazard of casual handling of secret information by Washington insiders that we have seen over and over.

Among other things, the use of personal email accounts to transmit classified information, or simply information that officials want to be immune from FOIA requests, has been widespread and is dangerous.

Let’s hope that TRUMP / Bolton’s example causes officials to act more carefully in the future.…

The level of deflection / projection here is astonishing: Hinderaker indicates that hiding things to avoid FOIA requests is both reprehensible — and felonious.

Ahem, John… there are photos of Donald Trump‘s public washroom (behind the ballroom), and the shuttered stage area of that ballroom — literally stacked willy-nilly with boxes of classified documents that he stole from Washington, as he departed in 2021.

So I don’t wanna’ hear a peep out of John when felony indictments are handed up against Trump 2.0 this time around because you know he will do the same thing, again.

There is evidence that Donnie was selling access to those boxes in the sh!tter. Damn.

Onward.

  1. This was three days ago, but it’s one of the more disgusting posts John has composed in recent memory. Just about every sentence contains at least one vile lie. Take the first sentence, for example:

    Antifa is a violent insurrectionist organization that can reasonably be seen as the militant arm of the Democratic Party, much as the Ku Klux Klan was the Democrats’ militant arm a couple of generations ago.

    Yikes! Where to even begin? Here, let’s see that again, with annotations:

    Antifa is a violent insurrectionist organization [Not generally violent, not insurrectionist, and not an organization, but otherwise, spot-on. -RM] that can reasonably be seen [by whom? -RM] as the militant arm of the Democratic Party, much as the Ku Klux Klan was the Democrats’ militant arm a couple of generations ago [And who do you think self-identified KKK members overwhelmingly voted for in 2024, John? Any guesses? Hmm? -RM].

    Let’s look at another sentence in this putrid puke-fest of a post (with annotations):

    On July 4, 2025, an Antifa cell [no such thing -RM] in Texas attacked an ICE detention center in an effort to kill federal law enforcement personnel and free illegal aliens who were detained there. [There is no evidence of any of that. One of those arrested wasn’t even there. Yes, one protester did shoot a guard, and that protester should absolutely have been punished, but there was nothing organized or synchronized about any of the other protesters’ actions. Nothing. -RM] 

    Here’s another fetid sentence:

    I would note that the attack on the Texas ICE facility was something like 1,000 times worse than the January 6 riot. [This is so spectacularly stupid, I’m amazed the pixels stuck to the screen while John was typing it. -RM]

    John’s final idiotic sentence is self-refuting:

    If we compare the sentences meted out to the Antifa terrorists to those imposed on January 6 protesters who did not even engage in violent acts, the Antifa thugs got off easy. [You mean, Trump pardoned them too? -RM]

    I know John’s pretty dumb, but he has to know that the above statements are mostly just lies, right? I wonder if his great-great grandchildren will someday lobby to have these posts srubbed from the internet out of sheer embarrassment, or if they’ll simply change their last name.

    1. I can only assume that he’s learned, after years of experience with them, that almost every one of his readers is a complete moron.

      He puts this sort of nonsense out, day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year.

      On the other hand, the advertising revenue at their website is down about 85% from the first time Trump was elected.

      So it may be that the readers are stupid, but his advertisers are not. They are all but done using him. He doesn’t reach any desirable demographic any longer that has disposable income — at least not in the amounts that would be useful.

      If you notice, most of the ads that do run these days — there, are now for male fertility enhancers (non-FDA approved), low brow T-shirt slogans, and women’s bikini-sets.

      In truth, though, I very much doubt that any of his readers could fit into the bikinis that his advertiser shows.
