Yes, John — on and off over the last four decades, retail gasoline prices at the pump have risen — and occasionally fallen. Under both GOP, and Democratic leadership.
But Trump is the first president ever, Hinderaker — to choose a war in a remote corner of the world that anyone with the working forebrain would have known… would both kill close 4,000 and maim over 10,000 Iranians in a few weeks, while directly causing a shock leap / increase in retail gasoline prices.
Not due to peace-time policies.
And then, to not even achieve the functional end of whatever nukes program the Iranians had… as a result of the undeclared war-making?!
That is Trump’s unique and special “talent”, John. And you own it.

Meanwhile, John and Bill have suddenly discovered, via the death of Henry Nowak in England, that police officers sometimes face no consequences when people die in their custody. John and Bill are properly outraged by the cops’ terrible negligence in this case, as well as by the official conclusion that the cops did nothing wrong.
Consequently, they come so close to getting it, so close to understanding that this exact phenomenon is what has fueled the Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police movements. Enormous reform is desperately needed for police officers to be held accountable for civilian deaths they negligently fail to prevent or directly cause.
Of course, the boys miss the obvious conclusion by that much, deciding that Nowak was the victim of a two-tiered system of justice, one that favors people of color over “working-class whites.”
Sometimes, I think the entire Powerline blog is a super-dedicated, long-form performance art project designed to highlight the stupidity of the conservative mindset. Then I realize that no, they’re just really that stupid.
