Tonight John claims that most of the opposition to vast AI data centers is coming from well organized communist China.

I don’t know chapter and verse about all of these initiatives, but I have followed one in particular — very closely — over the last five years.

Without any doubt, the opposition to the very large AI center proposed for Corsicana, Texas, in dusty, hot rural West Texas — being built by Riot Platforms… has encountered spirited local opposition, which has been repeatedly documented in the Dallas newspapers. That spirited opposition is absolutely, positively, local homegrown, American political action against both environmental and moral debauchery.

So it is again, Hinderaker is caught in lies, the likes of which he’s not even smart enough to make sound plausible.
