R-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght. In Which Mirengoff Asserts That The Sky… Is GREEN. “Don’t Believe Your Lyin’ Eyes” He Says…

I won’t waste many electrons on this.

He claims the Supremes didn’t harm the voting rights of people of color — ones re-established in the 1960s by the Civil Rights movement, and Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act signed by LBJ in 1965.

He’s a delusional old cuss — and thinks we are stupid.

We aren’t. [Onward, to the Blue Wave in November. A new version of Section 2 of the VRA will be re-enacted, and passed and signed by a president — when there is a Democrat at 1600 Penn, in early 2029.]

Out.

  1. Paul isn’t race-blind; he’s racism-blind. He can’t see racism, unless, in his view, it’s being directed at white people (and sometimes Asians). I’ve brought this up before, never forget that Paul once wrote this:

Where Blacks live is the result of (1) where they want to live and (2) where they can afford to live. If Blacks want to live in upscale neighborhoods populated by Whites, but can’t afford to, we shouldn’t assume that racism is responsible. More likely, the Blacks in question haven’t done the things they needed to do — e.g., stay in school, avoid having kids too young, get and stay married — to afford the housing they want.

That is, imo, the dumbest thing he’s ever written about race, which is an incredibly high bar to clear.

    1. He is a pathologically embittered old dude.

Always looking for an excuse for why he hasn’t achieved what his teachers predicted for him.

      Hilariously… sad.
