This afternoon, he churlishly tells us the 34 count conviction “didn’t move the needle” on voters in favor of Tangerine. Maybe — but that is only about a fifth of the voting adults in the USA.
He’s not seen any data (as it is not yet decided!), as to what a sentence looks like — let alone the sensible polling after, if that outcome… includes house arrest or jail time.
So… he should probably be quiet. But rest assured, he won’t be.
Common sense says that the middle two thirds of the nation… is very likely to find the idea of a felon awaiting jail as a “bad look” for the occupant of 1600 Penn.
Yes — Bill Otis… is a moron. Most sensible (non-Rasmussen) polling has it as a dead heat, with both candidates below 46% on approval ratings.
This is a close race — but in time, post Milwaukee’s convention… the stench of the conviction and sentence will hang in the air, around the undecideds — they will not vote for a felon… even if they believe Mr. Biden is at grandad stage — that won’t be disqualifying like the crime spree will be (as an incentive to sell America out for a buck, since he may go to jail on any of 93 charges, eventually).
