  1. This post is mostly a copy-and-paste from economist Steve Moore. John credits Moore but (classlessly) doesn’t provide a link to Moore’ original post.

    A couple of things about Steve Moore:

    1. He once said, “I’d get rid of a lot of these child labor laws. I want people starting to work at 11, 12.”
    2. A Virginia court held once Moore in contempt of court for failing to pay his ex-wife $300,000 in spousal support, child support and other obligations in his divorce settlement.

    The point is, Moore isn’t so classy a guy himself. 

    In any case, back to John’s post. John quotes Moore as asking:

    How many of the 300,000 jobs are double counting people holding TWO jobs?

    Well, since the unemployment rate has remained below 4% for 26 straight months, the longest such stretch since the late 1960s, I’m guessing… not many?
