Of course, this is all (STILL) to cover for Hinderaker’s lies (as at right).
And of course, most of the worst mis-steps were due to Trump golfing for about 70 days, while senior citizens died, by the thousands — and he kept saying it will just “magically disappear”. Just as John said it would.
It did not.
And in the end, far more died than needed — approaching the level of the Spanish Flu of 1918, due primarily to the fecklessness of these hard right frothers, running red states.
Damn.

Powerline Lies... 
In the first few months of the pandemic, Hinderaker repeatedly posted a chart he had made himself, comparing the number coronavirus fatalities to date with the number of flu-related deaths over the winter of 2017-18. His smug point, I guess, was that the 2017-18 bar was so much bigger, as if it were in any way meaningful to compare a year’s worth of flu deaths to a couple of months’ worth of COVID deaths. However, his plan, he insisted, was to continue to update the chart as coronavirus infections continued.
Obviously, he did not continue to update his little chart, as his point went from self-evidently stupid to overwhelmingly obviously stupid.

Yep. Then only a month later, he started saying that most of the fatalities were going to end by July 20, 2020. There were about 50,000 dead in the US by then.
We saw well over a million people die in the ensuing two years.
What an ass.
