In Which Scott Johnson & NY Post… Miss Just About Everything, About How Immigration Works.

We could say so many things about how malignantly idiotic the NY Post is, on the daily. So too, its would-be Minnesotan pied piper, Scott Johnson.

Here at noon on Sunday, while the Bears battle his Vikings, he writes of an immigration crisis. But it is, like so many things MAGA… not quite the one he imagines.

First, the numbers have increased because Tangerine used unlawful means to choke off immigration — for four years. Now we are back to a lawful approach. The numbers will naturally rise.

But more than this, the ACTUAL “crisis” is being felt nationwide: workers are in very short supply, especially outside of major cities in the US. And doubly so, in the building trades and so called “blue-ish” collar jobs.

As the coastal Floridians in red zones are about to learn very painfully… in addition to being unable to rebuild in a flood plain (no insurance payment) there, they will be unable to find enough people — to pound the nails, essentially at any price.

Scott may very shortly find that he will no longer have a reasonably priced gardener, because that guy can make more (up to 5X a week!) building slap-dash replacement homes now, down in sunny Florida all winter — and escape the minus 45 degree insanity of January, outside Minneapolis.

And he likely won’t come back, to the upper Great Lakes — next summer.

Yes — the crisis is here — but it is one of… Trump’s crippling our economy (and driving inflation as well, on a two-year delay) by removing perhaps up to three million new laborers (eager to make at least a near-living wage) from our markets.

But Scott and the editors of the NY Post prefer to traffic in racist tropes, and hope to energize the listlessly idiotic MAGA-nauts with invective, toward November.

DAMN, Scott. Just… damn.

Grow up.
