Look — Scott Johnson may rightly quibble, or agree with, or disagree with, Mr. Obama’s perspectives, and views on the second anniversary of the murder by cop, of George Floyd.
He may offer some actual evidence that he thinks relevant (which is where he starts), in counterpoint.
But, almost immediately — in a second paragraph of his rebuttal, he decides instead to repeat the open lies, and misleadingly framed data and charts of one Heather MacDonald.
Her work is shoddy, her methods suspect, and her conclusions have been widely mocked as flatly false. She is a race-hustling charlatan for would be whyte supremacists, everywhere.
But he and John Hinderaker cite her — because she’s the Klansmans’… Klanwoman here.
I’ll leave it at that. All Scott and John do, in decrying Mr. Obama’s views (in this deeply dishonest way)… is reinforce the points Mr. Obama made: these old, embittered whyte men and women… have a problem with admitting their racism. Instead they try to dress it up in a modern day pseudo-science — like phrenology, of a century and a quarter ago. Nothing more.
And so, same, same, as to Mr. Biden’s righteous remarks, on the second anniversary of Mr. Floyd’s death.
By way of contrast, these sad, evil Powerline codgers will… die, eventually, and with them — we hope — their views.
Out.
