The moron govern-ator… by best estimates… just cost the Florida taxpayers somewhere between $1 billion and $2 billion.
Yes, the theory is that Disney will pay Florida income taxes at a non-discounted rate, now. However, that also means Disney may demand all the city and county services it previously provided for itself (and paid full freight on).
So — the power, sewer services, trash hauling, road maintenance and all the rest that makes up local governmental service provision… are now on the official DeSantis tab. And all the rest of the county must cover that… somehow. It is a net loser; not winner:
