In Which Hinderaker Admits… The GOP… Is Nearly… Dead, Now.

Welp. I find this very… refreshing: Hinderaker is entirely candid (for once!), about what the new “DeSantis/Trump” GOP is really about.

And I love it. LOVE IT!

Tonight John says that the GOP is only for “small businesses” now. Big business has gone “woke” and sold out to something he imagines… is “the left”. Thus the GOP will no longer give big companies… quarter, in storms.

I certainly hope so.

I hope so, for two reasons: (i) GOP cannot survive without Fortune 100 donations. It will be starved for cash; and (ii) an anti-big business agenda will certainly play into the hands of his imagined “left”.

Hinderaker just signed the GOP’s death warrant. And, I couldn’t be… happier. [I think the plot Hinderaker has lost, is that almost all of big businesses’ workforce, customers and the society in which they operate… holds more democratic than republican values. So there’s that.]

But because no one takes John’s lunacy seriously, any more (in mid-2020, he was saying the GOP was only for the “working classes” — riiiiiight!?) — for at least the last five years, anyway… I don’t think the GOP will actually execute on his and DeSantis’ plans. It won’t commit seppuku.

Even so, I like the look: Hinderaker pandering to small businesses. Perfect: 90 per cent of all small business fail in their first two years. Kinda’ like Hinderaker — a great partner… in failures.

More seriously, if John thinks attacking big companies with heavy (and largely irrational) regulatory burdens won’t back-fire… he really is… ready for the codgers’ home. Demented.

The more subtle, and unsaid reality here is that Hinderaker knows… he and DeSantis are bit by bit, along with Trump — being shown the door, at the Republican Big Tent Convention. They won’t be asked to… any of the best parties. They are… pariahs, now.
