This is indeed precious. Trump is still cater-walling about a supposed injury his vain pride suffered over two years ago now… but there’s a war on.
A war in Ukraine, which it becomes clearer day by day, was occasioned by Manafort / Trump / Rudy and the influence peddling they offered, to Putin to peacably carve up Ukraine. Of course, that deal never bore fruit, as all his boys got indicted — and even after he pardoned them, he couldn’t make NATO look the other way — as he was by then out of office.
So, to people who follow these things, these Putin-committed atrocities against the people of Ukraine matter as much for what they do to the innocents, as for how Trump created this path for Putin.
In sum, who cares who Tangerine pulls his endorsement from, in Alabama? Brooks may or may not win, in the general — as a result — but America is (if nothing else) sick to death of Trump’s self-obsession, and shallow opinions, about world affairs.
Heck — even that most shallow of cads, John Hinderaker, has forsaken him — as of Monday.
