Paul M.’s Is Notable On Sweden — For What He Fails To Say About The “Mistake”…

Tonight, Paul reports as though it is news to him that Sweden’s no lockdown approach… is failing.

And that Sweden is candidly admitting it was wrong to go that route, with both new cases, and deaths per thousands of population, skyrocketing. Sweden is essentially going into lockdown mode, at least through New Year’s weekend, at this point.

I appreciate the honesty of the Swedish government. Admit your acceleratingly lethal error, and now address it… aggressively.

What I don’t appreciate… is Paul’s inability to admit that he was just as wrong, in advocating that the US should be following the Swedish example — as he did repeatedly all Summer-long, and into the early Fall of 2020.

This sort of tap dancing… costs PowerLine whatever tiny teacup of credibility… it once possessed.

Just admit that you guys were in a huge rush to kill people, if there might be a buck or two of preserved commerce in it, here in the USA.

It now clearly turns out — based on the Swedes’ own openly-admitted failures — that it likely wouldn’t have even saved more than a buck or two — at the cost of (in the case of the US) hundreds of thousands of additional — excess — deaths.

Paul and John H. and Steve H. should admit that they were deadly wrong — about all of it.

But they won’t.
