John seems willfully confused — about how… data science works.
It is often said that the singular form of data… is an… anecdote. It is… essentially no data, at all.
And Hinderaker only ever talks about anecdotes that feed his false narrative, especially about race — in America.
He is… a racist. That has long been established. So…
John conveniently repeats an anecdote this morning — ignoring the fact that only a small portion of officer involved killings of people of color and LGBTQ involve gunning them down (contra. LaQuan McDonald, as my countering anecdote, here). [Note that George Floyd was choked to death — and now it seems the officer had beef with him, at a off-duty job — making it potentially…First Degree Murder.]
So I fixed his lil’ pull-quote for him, thus:
“…I would have to be a slow learner not to realize how selective my concern about black lives is, and how little charlatans like me have actually done for the safety or quality of life of African-Americans….”
He supports “all such lives” while still in the womb, but positively attacks them… once birthed.
