Tonight, I am put in mind of the famous scene from “The Princess Bride” — at right. [Rather than accept the plain English meaning of a memo, long ago reviewed by dozens of courts and judges, and found… free from taint — John imagines yet another windmill, to tilt at, Quixote-like, in his “what about Obama?” quest. It is sad, really. He ignores Trump’s daily insanity — to cry about stuff from now almost four years ago… that never happened — not in the way he imagined.]
Here, at right, Mandy is clearly smarter than he lets on. John clearly has been… out-smarted.
The paragraph John quotes (in what he hopes vainly is a damning new revelation) serves then National Security Adviser [to then-President Obama] Rice quite well, here:

Comey replied “potentially.” He added that he has no indication that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that “the level of communication is unusual….”
Nat. Sec. Adv. Rice was on the up and up — running a normal, vitally patriotic operation. The above just-declassified paragraph proves it. Clearly, Flynn was (and is) a bad apple.
He plainly lied to VP Pence in the first days of Trump’s Administration — and Trump said so on videotape, himself — as did Pence, when both of them fired him. He had already lied to the FBI — and that’s what this is about. Oh and he pled guilty twice in open court, on the record, before Judge Sullivan, for those lies.
But silly John (forgets all that videotape and court transcript material) to…. create a vast nefarious conspiracy, from whole cloth, to trap Trump… into something (of course never defined)… here.
Mr. Hinderaker apparently doesn’t know what “by the book” means.
John… is a blowhard — and a moron. But you knew that already, from reading any one of hundreds of entries here.
