It is just so… classically…  Hinderaker. So… I guess we should have come to expect it.

He posits this morning that Trump will win — in 2020, because Obama did, in 2012… with some negative early polling numbers, in 2010.

Huh.

That “thesis” would have to simply… ignore the number of disapproval voters — saying so about Trump. He is way underwater, on that score, as FiveThiryEight regularly shows [see above right].

No president in the history of modern polling has been above 56 percent disapproval for as long as Trump; and above 53 percent disapproval for HIS ENTIRE presidency. Not one.

But yeah — chuckle on, John.

Here’s an idea — right outta’ the summer of… 1969:

Let us henceforth call this version of John’s “alternate facts” — Trump — checking in, from “Trump-quility Base.” On the Moon — Which We all Now Know… Is… Part of… Mars. 

Trump was “down there” –at Tranquility Base with Buzz and Neil, making the Moon a “really special part of Mars”, only a short while before he rushed in — with the first responders, on 9/11. You could look it up. Or not.
