He is right tonight, in surmising that there is no reliable Earthly scenario which offers a rational, plausible, prudent, moral and most importantly… lawful reason for Top Secret and national defense / foreign country nuclear capabilities documents to be in the closets, desk drawers and basement of Mar-A-Lago 20 plus months after Tangerine was cashiered — by the people of America (by over 8 million votes).

But then he seriously loses his way, in the wood.

He suggests a pure fantasy, in a Stockholm syndrome like flight of lunacy, he posits that Trump is cooperating with Mr. Biden… in trying to keep this story in the news cycle.

No, John — Trump is the primary one leaking details (details not known to Mr. Bratt since he and his DoJ team mostly don’t have clearance for nuclear secrets), to draw the venom from the stings. The stings of multi-count felony indictments.

Finally, he truly cannot imagine that the GOP will benefit much, by making the mid-terms yet another referendum on Trumpism.

But oddly… he is doing literally nothing to change that narrative arc / outcome.

So I do like that much of what he wrote: if Trump really is trying to make November 2022 about hisself… Democrats will clean up!
