UPDATED — 03.23.2022 @ 9 PM EDT: I will bump this to the top, since tonight Hinderaker has again pretended that lying about (and defending) the atrocities Putin is committing daily in Ukraine, against children and civilians more broadly… is some form of noble US tradition of “thoughtful dissent.” It is not.

He claims the NYT is at fault, for not quoting and adequate enough number of paragraphs filled with conservatives’ thoughts — on defending Putin. In any sane telling, by rational humans, the Times need not do so, since — as at left, we have the “conservatives” (like Candace Owens-Farmer, whom he defends by name) laying out her lies, in daily written tweet storms. [John’s claim is that the Times ascribes positions to them… they do not hold. See Exhibits A and B, above. QED.]

Nope — John, no need to quote them at length, and amplify their lies. We all see them on the daily on Twitter. Candace in particular has said she will never repudiate her views on the matter, by separate tweet. So there you have it — John is thrice conflating shilling for monsters, with loyal, principled dissent and support of our nation, by patriots — as in the Vietnam era. End of updated portion.

[Originally published at 1:47 PM EDT on 03.222.2022] Somehow, Hinderaker here conflates “loyal, thoughtful dissent” (a grand American tradition) with Rosenburg level disinformation, against one’s own nation — in direct aid of Russians whom, very likely pay… Candace (and quite possibly, Tucker) to tell lies about their own nation.

That was Putin’s trade-craft in the 2016 election cycle (via Guccifier 2.0) — and now, it is his hoped-for way of demoralizing Western, and specifically, US resistance to his invasion of Ukraine — and the atrocities he is committing daily, there, now.

And yet John — who claimed Jane Fonda did the same in Vietnam, in service of the Viet-Cong — now sees only a patriot’s dissent in Candace Owens.

It matters immensely, obviously, that he finds her attractive. Yes, he’s that shallow. But it matters, even more (for John) that what she is doing is aiding his GOP party line, which is bent on undermining the NATO/EU/US governmental (read: Biden) efforts to freeze Putin out of the world economy, and secure a cessation of hostilities that way.

Why? Because GOP’s big oil is… in bed with Putin.

As are the defense contractors (also deeply GOP).

Yes, this is — as ever — about money, not little peoples’ blood — for John.

He always backs the money — even the monsters’ money. Maybe he hopes to get some of the graft Candace has scored.
