Saturday Trivia: Spoken Like A Guy Who Learned NUTHIN’ — From The Experiment In Prohibition…

This morning, Hinderaker would tug at his forelock, and describe all his wisdom… in predicting just this outcome, once weed was legalized, state by state — but now, clearly… headed the same way… as booze, nationally, in the 1940s.

This all is largely trivial, as he complains out of one side of his mouth that an “industry” is being ruined by taxes.

But on the other hand, he’s “morally” (that’s rich!) opposed to legal pot.

I suspect that he’s been drinking brown liquor his entire adult life, and likely before it was lawful for him to so imbibe.

Yet, I don’t think I’ve ever read his piece decrying how taxation “ruined” his “liquor freedom enterprise” industries. [It is just another commodity after all, like weed. We all know, based on cable TV “reality” shows, that moonshiners are not entirely gone — but that’s no reason to oppose legal liquor.]

Legal weed has entered its adolescence — true enough. But to either pretend it will go away, or that he can change the course of history… is just silly.

Silly — and impotent.
