Five or more years ago, I would have spent some time dissecting his non-sequiturs on race, for what they were. Line by line.

No longer. It is all so… unneccessary. John’s entire (15-plus-year) thesis on race boils down to this: “my white entitlement is not racism….”  Yes, he repeated it again last night.

And as he often does — he quotes a member of the black community, describing problems black people face, even from within their community. [This time it was Charles Barkley — “Sir Charles” is right about what he says, but that doesn’t let John and Donald off the hook. John simply conflates the two.]

So — as he always does, then — John leaps to his standard canard: here’s the non-sequitur, folks — he states that “since SOME black people (admittedly) pull their own brothers and sisters down, I am NOT a racist, when I treat ALL black people with suspicion, assuming they are dangerous criminals in training…”

This has always been his logical fallacy: he conflates the fact that some black people treat each other poorly, with the notion that he (and by inference most Trump supporters, and Trump himself) CANNOT be racist.

The second simply does not follow from the first. And he knows it. He is one dishonest (thankfully retired) lawyer.

Now — with the economy most recently doing better on job creation, and growth — than it has since before Bush 43 took office — this race is HRC’s to win.

And win it she will. Even with the latest (normal) tightening of the national polls, as we come into the home stretch, here — Trump will STILL (as has been true since at least April of 2016) have to run a five ball table, in one shot — he must win ALL (and each) of Florida, Ohio, Iowa, North Carolina and New Hampshire (or Virginia), in order to have any chance at reaching the needed 270 electoral college votes.

If HRC takes any one of those — or most likely — squeaks out an outright win in Iowa — and less likely, in any ONE of Maine, Nevada or Arizona, Trump cannot win. [To be clearer on Maine — if HRC gets even just the Second District of Maine (which usually turns red) — since she already has the statewide lead in Maine overall, it is over, nationwide — for Trump.] That’s the math. Don’t trust me — but do trust Nate Silver.

And HRC is back campaigning, starting today. Bub-bye John — and bub-bye Donald. You both are… fired.
