Except that… he has mis-identified the movement presenting a dire threat to our fragile but beautiful experiment in democracy — here 250 years on.

The ‘250 celebration’ is largely “muted“, John… because an incoherent, evil and now largely demented 80 year old is trying to force Aemrica backward, into a mold of the early 1940s… [and it is one that only existed in 1950s mythology for over one half of all Americans].

John’s idiotic conclusion, edited lightly — for accuracy:

Whether the Republic can survive the current crisis intact remains to be seen….

Of course we will survive, John. The US survived “Reaganomics”. It too approached an idiotic extremists’ view of the nation.

We survived the admittedly slightly-too-peace-loving inclinations… of Jimmy Carter. We survived Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon. We will survive Trumpism, too. Trust that.

Even as Trump 2.0 engages in graft-corrupted construction (demolition, actually) in our capital, and builds monuments to nothing, essentially… ones no one, not even his faithful… wish to visit. [Compare unfavorably, to the record crowds at the Obama Center — all summer!]

But he, Trump, is the cancer.

And progressive policies — Yes, we can! — will be the cure.
