John’s New Year’s fare… is to complain yet again about events from 157 years ago. [Yes Lincoln was a light of the then young Republican Party. Since then, the parties’ roles have reversed — certainly post- the Goldwater early 1960s “southern strategy”.]

But even so, Mr. Hinderaker would ignore his own party’s — and president’s — crimes, ongoing, as of this morning.

The older Hinderaker gets, the more it brings out more of the… John in him. He’s an embittered, sadly shrinking old man — increasingly isolated from modern (forward facing) schools of thought.

 So he needs to [again!] revisit his largely imagined wounds [at the hands of avowed, but long repudiated racists of 157 years ago — not any official party now in existence] — ones not even his great grandfather ever actually endured.

My children’s great-great grand-mother, and -father, on the other hand endured slavery in America. So John ought to… just. shut. up.
