As well-documented here, in near real time, too — Mr. Hinderaker repeatedly said this would not be as bad as the ’17-’18 seasonal flu. Wrong. Then he said it would be like the ’67-’68 one. Wrong… again.

As we approach a likely 100,000 US deaths by June 1 — and still accelerating, in many areas… John is left to argue (again, falsely, despite Sec. Azar’s agit-prop this morning) that no spike is being seen in states that have reopened.

Look at Texas this evening — or Georgia, you moron. And we are likely six months away from a real decline — and maybe twelve months away from a widely-available vaccine, best case. The final pre-vaccine total for 2020 — in the US is now very likely to be over 200,000 people. Tool.

But even if we buy his latest clearly-false happy-talk — he (again as I repeatedly predicted, in March) hasn’t apologized for saying that this would all top at out well-below 60,000 deaths.

At the time, I wrote that he owed us all an apology, for every death in excess of 60,000. By a week from Monday… that will be 40,000 excess deaths by June 1 — minimum, and over 70 per cent beyond John’s glibly clueless poo-pooing.

Where is his abject apology? Crickets… here’s the quote, from tonight:

“…[M]aybe it will just take a few more weeks for the anticipated “spike” to show itself. That’s my guess. But if that doesn’t happen, those who have abused their positions by imposing devastating shutdowns will owe the rest of us an abject apology….”

Owe you?! Owe… YOU? What a delusional, life-devaluing, capitalist tool of a propagandist… he is.

When this is over… it is likely no one of any real moment will want to listen to his voice, on any serious topic — as he has now shown that he is no longer… a serious adult.

And that it seems, is his deepest-seated fear — with all his revisionist back-pedalling.
