Let’s tell some truths, here.

Steve’s idiot chart “adjusts” for his own assessed age biases, in Florida and in NY. That is, he excludes many Florida deaths arguing they are… just older people, dying regular way (because DeSantis fudged his own in-state mortality data — during COVID, we’ve all seen what he did to the woman who tried to accurately report the local figures).

But (equally tellingly) Hayward’s chart doesn’t do any adjustments / exclude anyone in NY — for the harsh winters there, even among younger (and certainly not… older) people. In sum, Steve is… lying.
