Tonight Steve Hayward uses an anonymous sourced Hunter gossip piece… to wander off — into the dark, deep wood of the law, and promptly… utterly, irretrievably — lose his way. Update, near 1 AM, Eastern: now Hinderaker too is weighing in, in moronic fashion — suggesting falsely that DoJ only prosecuted GOP criminals. No, John — it just happens far more MAGA/GOP are… committing crimes on the daily. End, update.

Both men seem to equate the private person, an adult son with some troubles (but in no manner acting on behalf of, or run by his political father) to… the former Tangerine occupant of 1600 Penn, himself — the guy in charge of our nation for four long years.

But that’s not even the loony part. Hayward goes on to say that pardoning about 6,400 non-violent simple possession of small amounts of pot cases… means that Mr. Biden will soon preemptively pardon Hunter.

Preposterous.

Prior to Tangerine, no president had ever actually pardoned anyone in his tight inner circle — anyone responsible for multiple felonies (found by federal judges and juries — multiple). [Trump pardoned into the double digits. Damn.]

I can guarantee that this 46^th President will never pardon a family member… ever.

Not least of all… for the reason that it would be unseemly, and beneath the office… without any regard for actual innocence… and certainly not if guilt was found by an independent judiciary office.

No, Steve — only the GOP is THAT cynical… or senile — to think (because all of you allowed it — even encouraged it — under 45) that a small number of pot commutations is a foreshadowing of a family pardon.
