John is wrong — but only by about a year, to a year and a half, here: that is, about 18 months from now, we are likely to have a widely-available and almost universally-administered vaccine, in the US at least. And it is likely to be over 99 per cent effective.
Then his current statements might be true.
But not today — not after we are likely approaching 200,000 deaths by the end of August. John once again reaches beyond his understanding of bio-science, to dismiss the coming second and third waves… but that’s not why I comment — I comment, because his now failing mind leads him… increasingly only toward hatred, of his fellow Americans. Ones he sees (wrongly) as “the other“, in his midst.
This is the worst of him, of late: everything he sees — and writes, is a way to score political points, in his addled and embittered mind:
“…For many, the turning point came when public health “experts” who had bitterly denounced demonstrations against shutdowns as health hazards, responded to the Black Lives Matter riots with silence and, often, enthusiastic endorsement….”
The former were like 27 or so…(albeit heavily armed) white morons, screaming… and so, they were only infecting fellow morons. And being shown immense deference by the gloved and masked state troopers, on Michigan’s statehouse steps, and later — inside the foyer and lobby. [They “rioted” for the “right” to have an infection-spreading beer in a crowded, sweaty bar, and get manicures and hairdos. Precious.]
What. An. Idiot.
Trump — on the other hand — had pepper spray deployed, and beat up thousands of peaceful protesters, firing rubber bullets — to hold the bible upside down in a photo-op, which the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs has since denounced. [These demonstrations are about an entire class of people’s right to exist — to avoid being murdered in her bed, in a no knock warrant execution, or over a few smokes, or some possibly bogus $20 bill — or being asleep (most-recently) in the drive through, at Wendy’s. De-escalation tactics are only for whites, it seems. Tons of dash cam videos, spanning decades — to prove this point.]
The two could not be more starkly… different. And we are, all agree — now seeing spikes, in states that opened too early. John openly concedes that. Moron.
Carry on, John — I get it: Donald Trump has definitively lost the 2020 election, already — and you are sore about that. The central remaining question is whether McConnell and the rest of the GOP loses the Senate. It has lost the House, to a certainty.
Onward. Grinning….
