Bill Otis tonight writes, and pungently so… that essentially all those who died on D-Day were… whyte males.
He forgets to mention that most of the US “colored regiments” were not allowed into battle in the European theater.
He also forgets the all-Black 320th Barrage Balloon battalion — at Normandy, on D-Day. F#cking racist that he is.
But my father in law, now long dead, who went on to become an MD out of Northwestern, when he got home from Italy… did know, and remember them. He and his own men saw combat in the Italian Alps, alongside the fabled Tenth Mountain Div., out of Camp Hale, Colorado. He fought bravely, and several of his buddies never came home. Yep. F#ck you Bill.
But he did make it home, to tell jaw-slackingly amazing stories of the fighting, along with US riflemen / GIs on skis, out of Camp Hale. Yep. Bill is a racist’s racist. More widely, he ought to explain this.
What a stupidly malevolent ignoramus / loser he is. Bill, along with Paul’s comment (to same post, tonight) — make plain that they are… putative whyte supremacists. But actually… in fact, are well-below-par, on the intellectual scale.
