Pop Quiz For Bill Otis: Please Explain LaQuan McDonald Or Ahmaud Arbery…

Tonight Bill Otis contradicts all the Powerline blog boys by directly saying that Derek Chauvin committed murder in kneeling on George Floyd’s neck — long after he was unconscious — and, for over seven minutes… in total.

That is truth — and some justice.

But he makes that small point — it is clear — primarily so he may ramble onward, and complain about a retired whyte cop killed senselessly in New York. The two cases are in no manner related. But he offers it to say that more whyte cops are killed by brown and black people — than the other way ’round.

Dumbest form of what about-ism, on Earth, that.

But if he wants to play that game, and claim that race was not a factor in Mr. Floyd’s murder — let us ask him to defend the murder of LaQuan McDonald (16 shots) in Chicago, or the hunting, and lynching of Ahmaud Arbery, in Georgia.

We will… wait. In fact, if he answers cogently as to the two that are the tip of this iceberg — we will promptly offer at least 30 more, including a young woman killed by police in her own home, in bed — in the middle of the night (they attacked the wrong black person’s apartment). The same happened to a young black man asleep on his girlfriend’s couch. There are literally dozens beyond these.

But only stony silence… will ensue — over at Ringside.

Damn him.
