Candace Owens-Farmer is currently hawking an up to $700 A Pop “Freedom” phone, on Twitter.
She claims they are free from what she calls “big tech” censors.
Funny — she neglects to mention that they retail in China for under $100 — and the Chinese government monitors them, via backdoor, hard wired access points.
Oh. She is also tweeting her support for the overpriced phone from. . . an iPhone.
You couldn’t make this stuff up, if you tried. These Qs, and MAGA morons… deserve each other.
Updated 07.17.2021 — Andrew Torba, the hateful moron running gab.com just blasted Candace’s latest grift. I love it when these hyenas tear into each other, competing to steal more new money, from the MAGAts. See below:

These Moronic Hyenas… They Are Eating One Another, Now…
Today’s version of the moronic Twitter / Saharan plain’s “Darwinian Circus” pits the putrid Candace Owens against the unctous Tomi Lahren. Woot!
The combined IQ wattage here barely reaches low double digits, but it is fun, nonetheless. Candace feels the need to be allowed to keep judging her fellow Christians by calling them out as ungodly. And using her bible’s verses (a bible that ALSO contains verses about removing the “beam from one’s own eyes, before picking at… the splinter” in another’s)… to tell old fake blondie Lahren that she (Candace) well-knows both abortion and gender reassignment surgery… are the Devil’s own work. Candace — (the girl who infamously said on video-tape at a 2019 Turning Points conference, that Hitler was an okay dude, so long as he kept his genocides inside Germany’s borders) — yep, dares to tell another ditto-head, that attacking Caitlyn Jenner may not be exactly cricket, but would be okay with “her” god — because she used to be… (wait for it!) Bruce Jenner.
Charming.
“For every garbage can there is always… a lid….”
The best outcome here would be that they both are struck by lighning, and sent directly to their gods’ hell(s).
In Which Trump Thinks Private Clubs Cannot Prevent Insurrectionists And Dangerous Liars From Using / Subverting The Clubs’ Megaphones. He’s… Deeply Demented.
It is hard to imagine a more frivolous notion for a lawsuit.
Apparently, his argument is going to be that Twitter and Facebook and their executives — by adopting rules about dangerous lying and incitements to violently overthrow the government (and then enforcing them) — have become the government actors. But hilariously, apparently only when Democrats control the White House.
Uh-huh. Good luck with all that. Here is all of the 34 pages of nonsense. Gibberish.
…Pursuant to Section 230, Defendants are encouraged and immunized by Congress to censor constitutionally protected speech on the Internet, including by and among its one hundred and ninety-two (192) million Users that are citizens of the United States. Using its authority under Section 230 together and in concert with other social media companies, the Defendants regulate the content of speech over a vast swath of the Internet.
Defendants are vulnerable to and react to coercive pressure from the federal government to regulate specific speech. In censoring the specific speech at issue in this lawsuit and in deplatforming Plaintiff, Defendants were acting in concert with federal officials, including officials at the CDC and on the Biden transition team.
As such, Defendants’ censorship activities amount to state action. Defendants’ censoring the Plaintiff’s Twitter account, as well as those accounts of Putative Class Members, violates the First Amendment to the United States Constitution because it eliminates the Plaintiffs and Class Member’s participation in a public forum and the right to communicate to others their content and point of view….
This is ludicrous. He was only too happy to enjoy their protection for three and one half years, as he told lie after increasingly dangerous lie to his some 20 million hardcore followers. Then… fair and square — he lost the election.
And now he’s butt sore. There has never been a Supreme Court case holding that imposing private rules of conduct on private parties at a private business is somehow a transmorgrifying event — rendering the business… an arm of the US government. It is simply… insanity.
I might ask him: was Fox News a “state actor” when, in Florida, with Gov. DeSantis’s explicit approval, Fox locked all other networks out of its studio as DeSantis held a bill signing ceremony, in the studio? Of course not.
Only DeSantis need answer for that, to his Florida taxpayers. I think Fox acted churlishly in complying (what will they do if the shoe is ever on the other foot, say in DC?) — but I recognize their right to lock their doors. The quarrel is with the Governor abusing his public office.
But Trump knows he will lose here. It is all Kabuki Theater. And bad theater at that.
Out.
Newsweek’s Caricaturist Did Her Dirty — But I’m 100% Here For It.
The entirety of this post is… trivia.
[Backgrounder, here — and here.]
She got… served. And I love to see it.
Turnabout is indeed… fair play.
That is all.
Out.
Nope. No Reputational “Rehab Tour” For Bill Barr. NONE.
Overnight, The Atlantic has published a fluff-piece aimed (by his supporters within the regular GOP) at recasting him as some form of refusenik to Trumpian lunacy.
Nope.
I am not here for that BS. It is a load of crap.
He was over 20 days too late — even on the smallest scope of this narrative. And he walked with Trump to St. John’s Square on June 6, 2020.
He also allowed the DoJ to enter an appearance to represent Trump, in private suits that alleged Trump had forcibly raped women. Trump asserted a defense of defamation — again, a First Amendment claim, violated by the US government, by intervening — on Bill Barr’s explicit orders.
On top of that, he let the DoJ represent Melania Trump, in FILING a private suit to silence a book written about her. That suit was dismissed when the author simply said “Amendment, First” — but that was the US government, then bringing an affirmative civil suit to prevent a book’s publication. If that doesn’t ring the Stalinists’ bell, I do know what would, Mr. Barr.
No — you are a pariah, Mr. Barr — to all polite, law abiding society, henceforth. Sit down.
Increasingly, Hinderaker Only Repeats Sad Old White Grievance Themes..
And so… I tend to ignore them. This one is new, though — and so over the top preposterous, in its lack of equivalence (and thus, ultimately… trivial)… I’ll call it out, in full. Just for grins.
It seems John wants to denigrate the current First Lady — as in no manner the equal of her predecessor. Hilarious.
At least that would be, to a normal human, the proper yard-stick. Dr. Jill Biden may well be a matched-peer of FLOTUS 44, but she is light-years ahead of the plagiarizing, polarizing (“I don’t really care, do you?”) FLOTUS 45. No doubt.
That much is certain. Jill Biden wears message of pure love to G-7, and John would tell us that Melania wearing a “I don’t care” coat at the official brown childrens’ border / concentration camp was / is… cool.
This, from John, is just silly. Jilly writes her own sound, compassionate policy statements. Melania? Steals Michelle Obama’s. Seems a slam-dunk.
Cheers.
Anti-Vax Madness, With A Side-Order Of… Holocaust Trivialization: HatWrks Nashville Soon To Be Out Of Business.
It is eternally fascinating… that Hinderaker, and Mirengoff & Co. regularly decry what they view as antisemitic remarks from Democratic leaders, here in the US — but never ever broach the subject of Holocaust denier / minimizer forces. Why? Well, because that lunacy is primarily the bread and butter of the Trumpian base of the GOP. True ‘dat.
If we hadn’t lived through four long years of the insanely anti-scientific Tangerine (asleep, as Mr. Van Winkle), sensibly-educated people in 2021 might find this story (not at all representative of the vast majority of the good and well-educated people of Nashville)… hard to believe.
But this is what blind hatred of… pandemic abatement bio-science spawns. Hinderaker has repeatedly fanned the non-scientific flames of this passion, in his ignoramus-laden masses, at Powerline.
It is not just that it is wrong, on the science — it is that it equates being anti-science not just to being (properly, in my view) marginalized, but to… being exterminated. If you haven’t seen the story, I’ll link a summary version from The Tennessean — and quote a bit (but I will not reprint the shop-owner’s initial defense of her lunacy, as it is. . . unfathomably disgusting):
…A Nashville hat seller removed an Instagram post after fueling social media controversy selling a patch that looks like the Jewish Star of David and a Holocaust symbol.
HatWRKS, run by hatmaker Gigi Gaskins, posted a photo of a woman wearing a bright yellow star sticker with the words: “Not Vaccinated.”
Social media users responded with the hashtag #HateWorks, calling the sticker anti-Semitic and “disgusting.” The original Instagram post had thousands of comments before being taken down….

[O/T: Solar Science] Prof. Parker’s Speed Merchant Flies Onward: With Eighth Solar Lap A Complete Success!
It must be said — speed, more than almost any other attribute / quality — is to be admired. On the tartan, in the 220 or 440; on the hardcourt — exploding into the middle of the lane. . . in whippy smart repärteé. . . or, out in vast inky space. . . in this case, to avoid overheating one’s fairly fragile electronics, as one dips very near a vastly-glowing white-hot coal. She is moving at about a third of a million miles an hour — the fastest human made craft, in all of history.
NASA’s Johns Hopkins Lab has done it again — now for an eighth time — in a virtual blur. Here’s the latest, on Prof. Parker’s blazingly fast lil’ ship — humming around the front side, again:
…On May 2, 2021, at 3:00 a.m. EDT, mission controllers at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, in Laurel, Maryland, received a “tone one” beacon from Parker Solar Probe, indicating that all systems were healthy and operating normally after the spacecraft’s eighth close approach to the Sun on April 29.
During this close pass by the Sun — called perihelion — Parker Solar Probe broke its own records for spacecraft distance from the Sun and speed, coming to within about 6.5 million miles (10.4 million kilometers) of the Sun’s surface, while moving faster than 330,000 miles per hour (532,000 kilometers per hour).
Science data collection for this solar encounter continues through May 4….
Blaze on, you speed merchant! Grinning, now — be excellent to one another. . . .

O/T: The History Of Physics Is Littered With Innumerable Sublime Discoveries — All While “Looking For Something Else, Entirely…” Wobbly Muons Edition.
Seen once before — in early 2001, by a then-grad student, out on Long Island. . . but then the funding ran out.
Fast forward 13 years, and that former grad student (now PhD, doing post-doc work) has a full lab — and new funding at Fermilab — and a long slow boat ride for the huge electromagnet ring structure — down the East Coast, around the tip of Florida. . . across the Gulf waters, to the mouth of the Mississippi. . . then up that river, to Illinois’ central western edge. . . then on a huge flatbed trailer, astride three lanes, at 10 miles an hour. . . to an hour outside Chicago, and Fermi’s Batavia campus. And, it all began. . . again.
Then, after eight more years, of assembly, calibration, experimentation, data collection and ultimately wildly accelerating sub atomic particles, around the vast race-track imaged at right — an astonishing first result. That is the journey to this moment. Here’s a bit, from syfy.com’s syfy wire(!):
. . .On our macroscopic scale, we like to think that space is smooth and continuous. But on a quantum scale, an incredibly tiny scale, quantum mechanics implies that space is not continuous and smooth, and instead may come in discrete units, like tick marks on a graph. This means, on that scale, space may not be empty, but instead boils and froths with energy.
Sometimes this energy will spontaneously create a pair of subatomic particles (because mass and energy are two sides of the same coin, E being equal to mc2 and all that). These particles can pop into existence, but these same laws of quantum reality demand that the particles immediately interact and become energy again, going back into the vacuum energy. This is called (and I love this) the quantum foam. . . .
Grinning, ear to ear — into the undiscovered country. . . once more.

[U: Late Sunday] Latest 16 Page Status Report, For Tuesday’s Hearing — In Flores Class Action Litigation, In LA…
UPDATED: Here at dinner time on Sunday, CNN is reporting that up to 1,500 kids, aged 13 to 17 will be moved to a City of San Diego sponsored convention center which has been retro-fitted to act essentially like college dorms [back in the day (think the 1990s, here) when admissions were over-extended]. That is, segregation by gender, open bunking — but no cells, or fencing. Just new, clean beds, fresh food and water, and sanitary items — all with local contract security guards, to protect the kids, but no locked gates. None.
In sum, nearly the opposite of what Tangerine made such kids endure. And as we said before, a week ago — the influx is due to the near four year backup, on the other side of the border — from T. We have a treaty obligation to process them, determine if they qualify for asylum, and get them settled, or returned. We have a moral obligation to end the squalid make-shift camps that arose in northern Mexico. This is the way we lead: partners locally, in San Diego municipal government — with federal aid money. There will still be some frictional difficulty, but this is trending in the right direction. End update.
It seems at least some lower-level, operational members of the ICE enforcement arms. . . aren’t getting the message — they are still resisting compliance with a 1992(!) settlement order. 1992. This is now 30 years of litigation — over a settlement the government agreed to, after a prior seven years (1985-1992) of “on the merits” litigation. We are thus at nearly four decades of fighting, simply to enforce the human rights of people. . . who arrive here seeking a better life.
Clearly things got better when Democrats were in office — Clinton, Obama and now Biden — but at the operational level, some ICE officers continue to resist what the law requires of them. Here is the latest — and a bit:
. . .Paragraph 18 of the [1992 Flores Settlement Agreement] unambiguously and in plain language states: “Upon taking a minor into custody, the INS, or the licensed program in which the minor is placed, shall make and record the prompt and continuous efforts on its part toward family reunification and the release of the minor pursuant to Paragraph 14 above. Such efforts at family reunification shall continue so long as the minor is in INS custody. . . .”
At bottom, ICE continues to keep parents and Class Members in the dark about Class Members’ Flores rights. With highly limited access to outside legal counsel, and perhaps over 900 people now detained at Dilley, it is entirely unrealistic to assume outside advocates can consistently advise all detained Class Members and their parents regarding Class Members’ Flores rights. The ICE Directive should be implemented and the Notice of Rights distributed forthwith. . . .
Now you know — on to a better Monday morning, here (smiling, with my brackets looking fairly strong, I must say).
