The Idea That Candace Owens Farmer Is “Pulling Out Of Big Banks”… Is Precious.

Okay, this story offers at least seven layers of… delicious irony. Let’s start with the most obvious: her husband’s family is formally aligned with a power-bank in London. So the idea that she’s moving “her” money to a “neighborhood bank”, presumably in Nashville (and I’ll bet you a real nickel it’s NOT a black owned bank!)… is very droll.

All the real economic power in her relationship is almost certainly banking in London, with a mega-bank — likely an affiliate of old Phibro-Salomon, the metals trading firm her pops-in-law worked at, before founding his own brand — and retiring as the fabulously-wealthy Baron Farmer, to serve in the House of… LORDS. [The parent entity of that successor entity is now owned by Citibank’s BHC — Citigroup.]

I’d bet a real, right-wise Pound Sterling on that. All this means is… when the authorities finally get around to seizing the proceeds of Candace’s various grifts (cheaply-hackable Chinese phones — for $400 (a 300 per cent markup); undelivered donations to DC metro-area police during the BLM uprisings (~$50,000); funds taken from contributors, for legal fees (likely now approaching $100,000) on a lawsuit she long ago lost, but didn’t tell them… and on and on — including a foundation with a claimed 40 employees — that pays over 85% of all its donated funds out to her, personally, as a $300,000 salary each year), it will be only a smallish neighborhood bank account is… closed out. Not a Chase or JP Morgan one. [Or a Salomon Bros. / Citigroup one — as hubs will smartly keep the far larger family assets (in London) shielded from her manifold coming state-side legal troubles.]

Next, whether I agree with Mr. Trudeau’s latest moves in Canada or not, is irrelevant — their laws are not the same as ours in the lower 48. He is our close ally, and good neighbor — but his actions will not control what happens in the US.

Down here, it is not remotely that simple to seize bank accounts of 18 wheeler companies — even ones comprised of felonious actors — at least not until an indictment has issued. Up there — who knows? But make no mistake: this is CONDUCT, and these are actions — not pure speech he is going after, now. Blocking commerce with an 18 wheel rig, on a key bridge is a crime (both here and there). And Mr. Trudeau’s entitled to prosecute it.

Down here, the AUSAs would need an indictment — to get a freeze order on the assets (and bank accounts) of an 18 wheeler company which was engaged in a series of felony offenses.

So the next level of irony is that Owens says she’s pulled her US bank accounts from JP Morgan, to avoid a Canadian over-reach. Charming. [I guess she doesn’t understand the principles of non-extraterritorial jurisdiction.]

The final irony here is that she then waxes in lunatic fashion about some Q Anon level “global world order” taking over our lives, and refusing to let us all live… free. All while her children grow up as members of that supposed new world order, and her hubs helps run it. [If one is at least susceptible to — or secretly adheres to — such fevered rubbish.]

This after she actually contracted COVID late this past fall, from being unmasked in close proximity to other COVID carriers. And… wait for it — she says she’s due with a second baby in July 2022. If both of those statements are true… she likely had COVID in the earliest days of her current pregnancy. And she at least says she’s unvaccinated.

Sadly, this makes her unborn baby an unwilling guinea pig — for her ignorant, terrible health care choices. And her… avoidable outcomes.

I truly wish the very best for that baby. He or she had no possible way to… pick better parents — so I will seek to help (and educate) them, wherever and whenever I can (just as I would her first born, a son).

But it is supremely ironic that she was just two weeks ago telling Kim K. how to parent (about Kim’s Tik-Tok curated feeds, for North West), thus involving herself in a complete stranger’s private family life decisions — because she wanted to curry favor with the estranged dad, Kanye West.

That may be the most… Turning Points thing… ever.

I hope she doesn’t live to regret all this very public irresponsibility. The world — especially the far right world — might turn on her, on a dime.

Then she’d only have her husband’s metals, banking, hedge fund, and investment banking fortunes… to live off of.

Hilarious. Yes… Candace Owen’s Twitter feed: where irony goes… to die.

Mazars Disaffirms A DECADE Of Trump’s Prior Financial Statements / Audit Results. Whoa.

Look, this almost always only happens (dumping a decade of audit results) when it is clear an audit firm has been LIED to. And/or of course, when crimes are implicated — by those previously-audited financial statements (or the lies supporting them).

A whole decade of withdrawn results. This is… clear evidence that Trump will be indicted, eventually for overstating his assets, for the purpose of getting loans — and understating the income he was making, for the purpose of paying his lawful tax obligations.

But my graphic tonight captures Tangerine’s cry — an hour ago on gab.com — that a six year old supposed email thing by HRC… should eclipse his manifold and still unfolding felonies.

Felonies likely including stealing classified government files, to use as black-/gray-mail (IMO) fodder, against world actors… ones with cash.

That, plus the sedition and the attempts to tamper with J-6 fact-witnesses… and the guy is… toast.

Out now, grinning.

[U: Jury Says NYT Not Liable.] Sarah Palin, Loser; A Free Press: Winner.

UPDATED — 02.15.2022 @ 6 PM EST: Pretty much as we said, the jury has come back with a full defense verdict. The NYT is not liable for… anything, to Ms. Palin. Any appeal from Team Palin will be… frivolous, now. But whatever. End update.

Well — that’s not the Valentine’s Day card Ms. Palin was hoping for. Heh. USDC Judge Jed Radkoff is going to bounce her libel and defamation suit against the NYT.

Even so, he thinks the jury which is still deliberating (should it not find for her)… might help convince her to stop wasting judicial resources, and forestall any additional appeals, by her. But the able, if slightly unconventional federal judge in Manhattan said from the bench that he sees no set of facts under which Palin could recover damages from the NYT.

He is saying there was no evidence offered by her, of actual malice, or of reckless disregard for the truth or falsity of the statements she claims libeled her.

This is where Candace Owens’ libel claims ended as well, against Zuck. So I won’t bother to make another graphic. Heh.

We Take Tangerine At His Word, Just One Hour Ago… He Stole Top Secret Documents.

Baby-T knows he is deep in felony land now — one that he has called for “death penalties” on. [More precisely, that is… 18 USC 18 USC § 2383 — it’s a felony to threaten civil war; 18 USC § 1512 — it’s a felony to threaten witnesses; and 18 USC §§ 875-876 — it’s a felony to threaten a member of Congress… with the ‘lectric chair, in response to his stealing top secret US documents.]

He wants former HRC aids put to death, for what he falsely claims are documents showing a campaign of spying by then current DoJ employees, on a then current president-elect and president. Funny thing is, he is well-documented now as having taken “top secret” documents to Mar-A-Lago as he left 1600 Peenn for the last time — likely to use as future revenue generators, from black- or gray-mail, against brutal dictators around the globe. Specifically, North Korea, and likely also in the countries surrounding the Straights of Hormuz. Here’s Trumpy — on Gab.com just now (of course I won’t link them, no traffic help here):

…Can you imagine that, what should be the biggest story of our time, bigger than Watergate, is getting absolutely no mention, ZERO, in the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC Fake News, NBC Fake News, CBS Fake News, ratings-dead CNN, and MSDNC….

Can you imagine if the roles were reversed [THEY ARE!] and the Republicans, in particular [now FORMER] president Donald Trump, got caught illegally [removing US “Top Secret” documents — by the box-full, to Mar-A-Lago (about the North Korean dictator, likely to use as blackmail material against his regime, for payoffs — Trump hotels and other properties, for example)]? All hell would break loose and the electric chair would immediately come out of retirement….

Hilariously… on target. Let’s do it, Donnie Dotard.

Out.

[U: Kash Patel’s “Backfire” Exposure] Durham Missed The Statute Of Limitations, Here — And Yet Hinderaker Amps The Frothy Right With It, Just The Same.

UPDATED Sunday Morning: EmptyWheel has now posted a definitive take-down of this whole stupid kerfluffle. From hers we learn that (former) GOP big boy Kash Patel, may have just been subjected to a circular firing squad — by Durham, thus:

…Kash and his colleagues have known the outlines of this for over four years.

At the time, and in his next job at NSC, Kash would have had ready access to the CIA for more details about the meeting — indeed, he came into this interview knowing about it already.

At the time, and in his next job at NSC, and in his next job as DOD Chief of Staff, Kash would have had knowledge of Rodney Joffe’s contracts with FBI and NSA.

At the time, and in his next job at NSC, and in his next job as DOD Chief of Staff, Kash would have had access to the DARPA contract, which got extended afterwards.

In his comment, the former president said that “those who knew about this” should be subject to criminal prosecution. And Kash Patel was, at all moments between December 2017 and January 2021, not only aware of the outlines and the players, but he did nothing.

Whatever else this kerfuffle has done, it has made Kash’s exposure as a witness in this case quite dicey. Because not only is Kash a witness that Sussmann was not hiding what he did, but he is someone who for years was in a position to do something about it, and he did nothing….

Well, I honestly don’t care about Patel, any longer (he’s become irrelevant). I note it solely to make the point that it certainly suggests — if nothing else — this is just a politics move; one designed to deflect from Trump’s now clearly purloined Top Secret docs down at Mar-A-Lago. End update.

Clearly, Durham’s aim in this motion was political, not legal.

But he or his handlers wanted to whip up some new (old) stink to distract from the fact that Tangerine had up to ten litigator boxes of classified documents (some marked “Top Secret“) in Mar-A-Lago that the National Archives had to fight to recover, here a year post his time in office.

So he files a motion about matters he cannot charge, since the applicable statute ran last week (and he’s free to make a bunch of non-factual insinuations with it, as he’ll never have to explain it, as it will never come in as evidence in any proceeding). He files it… to incite precisely the “patsy’s reaction” (a hue and cry, for the rubes) that John Hinderaker provides for him — and his readers.

Charming. Here is the estimable EmptyWheel making short work of it all, and the concluding bit. [Do read her, for the truth related to all these matters, daily].

…Whatever Durham hopes to use to sustain the claim of a continuing conspiracy, this filing seems to concede that the lies Durham claims Sussmann told in that meeting that took place five years and a few days ago will not be charged.

Ask not for whom the statute of limitations toll, John Durham. They toll for you….

So again, there is no there, there — other than some political grandstanding… to prevent the rubes from asking why Trump had ten boxes of records squirreled away at his Florida club — after screaming for three years about HRC’s supposedly missing emails.

Hilarious. Well done, John — you won a dunce’s cap. Wear it with pride.

Kudos: Parents In Tennessee Now Rise Up, To Contest A Public School Board’s Banning Of A Holocaust Graphic Novel, For 13 and 14 Year Old Students…

Not one of the school board members, they each admitted later — had even read the graphic novel before banning it. They accepted the word of one parent who said it had curse words in it, and “a dead naked body.” Of course, that was a cartoon drawing of a dead mouse, on its back. The book-burners are always this… feckless.

Indeed, this is gratifying (and very responsible parenting, once the earlier “secret” banning decision was made public). To be certain, the fight is by no means over. Litigation, to be brought by the ACLU, is being prepared for middle district of Tennessee’s federal trial courts, should the school board not relent — this is a clear First Amendment case.

Here is the latest, from the AP outside Chatanooga, Tennessee:

…“It’s certainly about Jews, but it’s not just about Jews,” Spiegelman said earlier this week during a virtual discussion on book bans hosted by the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga that more than 10,000 people attended.

“This is about othering and what’s going on now is about controlling. . . what kids can look at, what kids can read, what kids can see in a way that makes them less able to think, not more. And it takes the form of the criticisms from this board,” he added.

For Alex Sharp, a librarian who lives in McMinn County, the board’s fixation on a handful of swear words misses the broader lessons students should learn while studying the Holocaust and other painful moments in history. It also makes no sense, she said, in an age when students have access to more objectionable material online.

“Yes, it has a few bad words in it, but in my opinion our kids are seeing way worse than that on YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat,” she said. “You have to remember they’re 13 and 14 years old. They’re not small children anymore, they’re breaching into adulthood, and we have to talk about these controversial topics with them so they grow up into empathetic human beings….”

Onward, smiling — on to a screening of “Belfast“, followed by the grand-nieces’ sleepover, up next!

So… Even The Q-Anon Morons… Recognize Tangerine’s Big Lie Now: Of Gab’s “Very Fine People”.

There is — in truth — only one surprise here, and that is that it has taken a full year for the one-sixers (or Q folk) to start figuring out that Tangerine has no chance in hell of regaining 1600 Penn.

But then again, no one said any of them — all the way up to his cabinet… were very bright.

So I leave the image at left, largely to make a record for posterity. Gab.com will soon die (and all of this deeply hateful vitriol will vanish into the ether of ones and zeroes with it), as also will Parler and Gettr, and even Trump’s not yet launched… whatever it is he is trying to call it these days. Perfect… karma.

In similar fashion, his grifting, dis-information spewing mouth-pieces, like Candace Owens, will fade to dust — and none of us sentient beings… will give a hoot.

Cheers.

Final Note On The REAL Lady A’s Settlement… A Quiet Friday Night’s Update.

UPDATED: 02.11.2022 @ 10 PM EST — it turns out that the REAL Lady A had also (as we suggested she should) filed an interference/infringement claim with the USPTO, back in mid-last year.

Tonight we noticed that in the Seattle federal civil suit (the one she brought, which had been stayed during the pendency of the Nashville one), Ms. White has filed a release on that USPTO claim.

That is proof positive that money was exchanged (from the white act) in order to put this matter to rest.

I am gratified to see fairness, integrity and dignity… rewarded here.

She persisted. She stayed the course, without succumbing to (as is so often true in litigation these days) vengeful pride.

And so… I salute her. Well done.

All of her upcoming shows… are sold out, now. Flawless!

Off — grinning, to whip up some regular BBQ-, Genghis Kahn’s Mongolian BBQ-, Cajun- and Buffalo- wing sauces, from scratch, for Sunday evening TV dinners. [Frosty craft root beers already laid in.] Heh.

[Updated, X3: 02.10.2022] Just A Link To The Full Delaware Opinion Dismissing Candace Owens’ Suit Against Zuck, Et Al.

UPDATED 02.10.2022 @ Noon EST: I am NOW guessing that all this tweeting by Owens yesterday refers, in fact, to a preliminary discovery scheduling hearing (or some-such) in the $20 million Klacik defamation matter, in Baltimore’s local court system. There, Candace herself is being sued for falsely stating that a GOP candidate for elected office had committed crimes. So this is actually a story about her facing the same claims, as a defendant, as she made against Zuck, as a plaintiff — but with a much bigger price tag.

Due to how First Amendment law works, Candace is unlikely to owe much in damages (and likely nothing like $20 million), but it seems clear her statements (and refusal to run the denials / explanations by Klacik) were libelous, per se.

However, the question is… how much in damages will there be (at an eventual jury trial), when this one pot calls the (other) kettle… black? [I cannot closely track these local proceedings remotely, since the Baltimore courts aren’t fully online. Further (1 pm EST) update — the half sheet still lists this case as dismissed by agreement just before Halloween 2021. So it may NOT be this case, afterall.]

End update.

No need to belabor it, but a search of all federal courts reveals no additional litigation on this topic, and the deadline to appeal this loss long ago passed.

So unless she’s involved in some private arbitration (or new unpublished state court litigation in Tennessee — unlikely)… her claim to be “in court” on her own case… seems dubious at best.

FINAL UPDATE: I gather Ms. Owens paid the filing fee for an appeal, to the State Supreme Court in Delaware. Yesterday, that court heard a half-hour of oral arguments (see page two of that PDF), as to why Ms. Owens’ suit was properly dismissed, for “failure to state a claim,” as indicated above. I would expect a ruling shortly, affirming that Ms. Owens has lost completely, since the law here is so crystal clearly against her. End all updates.

Onward, grinning… out.

Scott Johnson — On Amir Locke’s Murder By Police — Egregiously… Missing Context.

Scott Johnson claimed to be simply laying out the facts, as known as of this morning — without comment. That was true, up until he commented on race. He chose to cast a dis-believing, jaundiced eye, even as a man (plain as day, on body cam video) was asleep in his dwelling at 7 am, under blankets when a SWAT team stormed his home on a no knock basis. [This is why no knocks are a largely dying breed.]

Scott then has the temerity (presumably because Amir was Black) to ask “why was he armed?“, suggesting it is unlawful or improper, at least (it is neither, given Scott’s own later editorializing about how dangerous downtown Minneapolis he says, has become)… for a man to sleep with a gun in his hand, under covers. In his own dwelling. A man’s dwelling during sleeping hours… is his castle. And you enter it at your considerable peril, if you do not knock first.

Here, and after — Johnson completely loses the thread. He lets his blindingly obvious racial biases lead him to imply (if not write directly) that the man would not be dead if — he wasn’t armed. Were he out on the street, that might be so. And were he… whyte, even armed, under his covers, in his home — he might very well still be alive.

But Scott’s “own pipple” — the Second Amendment enthusiasts — were the victim whyte — would have already immediately leapt to his defense, since it was his own home and the cops didn’t even knock.

But Scott’s take is that this shouldn’t be a race thing. Does anyone believe the cops would have gone “no knock” — if the occupants were known to be white, and well-heeled?

What about well-armed? No, the police took this route to provoke trouble. And Scott’s wilfull blindness (Amir was no suspect, in any crime — and the gun was lawfully in his possession).

Damn, Scott. Damnation (for you, and your now-dying old breed).
