Hinderaker was disastrously wrong about US COVID-19 mortality levels, by over 20 fold. [Churlishly, he seeks refuge in comparative data between flu cases and COVID-19 ones, to hide the fact that he said the dying was mostly over by July of 3020.]

Despite his lies, though tonight — here are the facts, from the same study he is claiming vindicates his feckless exhortations of 2020 to 2021. The point of the study he falsely claims vindicates him… is that both flu and COVID patients experience dangerous death risks, once admitted to a hospital, so the goal is to AVOID hospitalization — by… (shocker!)… vaccinations, and in pandemics… social isolation if immune-compromised.

Damn, son — you are a chump. Here it is, in context:

The “as expedited” schedule was set, in an order entered in the Fifth Circuit this afternoon, in Houston.

The loser, Gov. Abbott, now owes his brief (to try to keep enjoining the feds) in 14 days, the federal agencies are due in 24 days. [But to be clear, DHS and CBP are allowed to keep cutting the razor wire barriers — to “inspect” any person they see on the wrong side of it, throughout the appeal process.] Thus:

This is just… silly.

Billingspuss so hates Mr. Obama… that he sadly still fights battles lost — two wars ago… leading him to assert in his concluding paragraph that Mr. Obama is running the nation from Martha’s Vineyard. Here in 2024.

He is Mr. Biden’s puppeteer (at least, according to Lloyd Billingsley) — in 2024. If so, and there is no evidence of this, except that the two share a firm belief in the dignity of all humans, and a deep and abiding respect for our fragile, improbably long lived experiment in ordered liberty, and governance by of and for… we, the people…

I cheer that notion.

I’d much prefer to live in a nation that strives to be the beacon on the hill, than the con-man in the swamp (Tangerine’s style of governance despite all his bleatings).

Realizing that this unwitting “tell” about who Nikki Haley really is, at bottom… is lethal — to her now winking-out chances at a GOP nomination for 1600 Penn in ’24 — Bill impotently tries to make a scandal of the fact that no one has been “outed” as the questioner.

[This Otis belching… is almost as loony, as the next one I’ll post, on Billingspuss claiming that Mr. Obama nefariously remains “the shadow president” here in early 2024 — nearly eight years after he left office. Nearly — but I am getting ahead of myself.]

So, Otis is convinced that the questioner was a Democratic engineered… plant.

Even if so (and there is no evidence of this)… so what?!

Again, all that would tell us… is that the continuing KKK wing of the ’24 GOP… may threaten the same, if Tangerine is not the nominee. [And, it preposterously suggests that there would have been no war, because the South would have peacefully marched on as a slaving nation. By this point, the US was the last Western power practicing slavery — because it is an abomination to any nation that claims to be a civilized society. First, the war would have come anyway, from within the Confederate electorate — and then (not unlike 1776) likely from England, France and the Northern states, in any event. And slavery would have ended before 1880 in nearly every scenario — (regardless of the prior economics of the practice — via Eli Whitney’s cotton gin, etc.).

But such is the moronic Dixie romanticism… still current in the GOP of 2024.]

Her largely false claim is that Barbara Streisand and Ryan Reynolds are spending millions to help what would be her Democratic opponent in the Third, the man she only beat by about 500 votes last time around. These two stars donated $1,000, and $600 — respectively, to her opponent. So her moving across the Continental Divide, from the Western slope to the Eastern plains is… solely her only shot at keeping any seat.

It is not dark money. It is her… odious brand of MAGA politics — and personality. Even so, she will have a chance, as the closer one gets to Colorado’s flat-landed borders, the more red, and/or purplish rural / agricultural the electorate becomes. Here’s a bit, from The Hill — this afternoon:

…Boebert accused Hollywood stars of “trying to buy” her current congressional district by donating to her Democrat opponent, Adam Frisch, in an interview on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast Saturday. She said the reason for switching from the state’s 3rd Congressional District to the 4th Congressional District was about “how we can best defend and advance conservative principles…..”

Personally, I think she may lose even out East — as her personality is so toxic, to most decent farmers and ranchers. We shall see.

This (by John) is curlish, at best.

At worst, it is jingoistic nihilism.

And a call for… genocide.

Yes — the matter of taking hostages (and the conditions of captivity)… are monstrous.

That is granted.

But it is at least plausible that these “civilians” holding hostages in homes in Gaza… are being overtly coerced by Hamas. They may presently have their own children or parents held in captivity (or worse), elsewhere, by… Hamas as well.

No one raped the woman in the case John cites — she makes no such allegation. No one tortured her. They did not provide enough food — nor medicines. But it is likely the family itself was going hungry. In sum, she was held by a family, in a home, in Gaza — where food is very scarce.

This is awful, no doubt — but not every Gazan is complicit — and certainly, not every Gazan wants violence, of any kind.

Thus Hinderaker’s cry for annihilation of all Gazans… cannot even remotely be seriously considered, based on one case. Or even 100 of them.

But he wants it — just the same.

He will not get it. Nor will Bibi. Out.

The number of straight-up crooks associated with all things Trump… is simply staggering.

In 2021, several grifters were trying to “park” DWAC stock in Melania’s name — at the insistence of… “someone” (that’s all we will say about that, but the SEC is still investigating it).

Then, loads of someones (allegedly) decided to trade DWAC securities on material inside information, despite being board members, or being tipped by board members and/or DWAC officers. Those trades, and traders, start to go to trial in federal court as SEC civil enforcement matters in Manhattan, in three months. Here is InnerCityPress on that, from last week:

That’s because Mr. Biden’s economic recovery has eclipsed the Tangerine-era’s best jobs numbers.

Thus, John faults the recent jobs growth as adding to governance-type roles (in his false telling, the expansion of government, into private lives).

Now I really have seen it all.

What we should glean from his impotent whining… is that he knows with certainty that the GOP is DOA, in ‘24 — and beyond… in all likelihood.

Paul is back on the old saw… whining about what he calls DEI — boring us all, into the otherwise well-started New Year. Y A W N.

In his false telling of this mythology, it all came from one case of “murder by cop”, in Minneapolis — just three years ago — the murder by choking to death, of George Floyd — by then Minneapolis police officer, now Arizona murder inmate, Derek Chavin.

Paul’s premise is demonstrably false. There are hundreds (with 135 such cases just since 2015!) of nearly identical cases (spanning a minimum of six documented decades), except that this one was caught on video, in full, in broad daylight, from at least five separate angles. [At the bottom here, I will string out just a few of those victims’ names.]

But beyond that, Paul has forever held a racial/ethnic grudge against people who are better at various things than he is — but happen to be… Black or red or brown… or (gasp!) women.

So, he is forever on the lookout for ways to blame his own lack of achievement on an unfair advantage bestowed on others.

This from a guy who did his undergrad at Dartmouth, and law at Stanford.

A guy who says Harvard’s president achieved — solely due to her skin color.

A guy… well, you get the picture.

A project entitled “Say Their Names” presents each dead person of color — from police excessive, escalating force — all unarmed (according to witnesses at the scenes), during the encounter.

As I say, there are 135 names, just starting in 2015. Here are a few of those, from inside Minnesota itself: Ricky Cobb, O’kwan Sims, Howard Johnson, Andrew Teckle Sundberg, Amir Locke, Kokou Fiafonou, Winston Smith Jr., Daunte Wright, Dolal Idd, George Floyd, Nekeya Moody, Noah Erickson, Ronald Davis, Kobe Dimock-Heisler, Isak Aden, Jamar Clark, Sam Holmes, Marcus Golden, Charles Logan Sr., Edmond Fair, Terrance Franklin, Alden Anderson, Victor Gaddy Sr., and Mark Henderson (like at least ten of the above, MN police admit he was unarmed; in a few cases, the MN police claim the dead man was armed, but witness accounts contradict these statements).

This is just in Minnesota, and not remotely all the cases, even in that geography, since 2015.

Paul is thus… an unblinking, sheet donning… racist. He has seen this data. But he ignores it, to offer his invective.
