I agree. It was probably an “unwise” choice, then — to let AI invent a colorized school-kid fake portrait of Ida, rather than paying a small royalty to get the real historical black and white image of the real historical woman. And she is in charge of our kids’ education?!
And… In. A. Supposed. History. Lesson. No. Less?!
This was a dynamic, proud (and later in life, a powerful) Black woman.
