Hinderaker writes this morning that Mr. Biden’s administration is “doing a bad job” at the southern border. [Maybe. But maybe it is due to the fervent efforts, and desire of the asylum seekers’ needs to be free — that they take highly unreasonable risks, at least in part. Mexico does not protect them, on that side of the border — from predators — in the main. The greatest safety likely comes from reaching US soil… quickly, under Mr. Biden’s policies.]
And so, it is flatly false to say (as Ted Cruz does) that his administration is “allowing” rapes to occur. That “allowance” (to the extent it occurred at all), occurred via Border Patrol policies enforced by Steven Miller, Trump’s miscreant / guy. So, unless one is willing to tell the truth about Tangerine’s intentionally leaving unaccompanied minors in harm’s way, and forcibly separating minors from their parents — to facilitate that harm… this is a pure lie.
Criminals commit crimes on the other side of the border, to be sure — and no US policy will stop that. Nope.
Mr. Biden’s policies are as humane as our legal system allows. [We need Congress to… act.]

Cruz knows it full well — and so does Hinderaker.
