Not surprising in the least, but Johnson seeks to blame the Nashville school shootings primarily on the fact that the shooter was… trans. [Scott possesses no medical, or psychological degrees or other qualifications.]
That he tells this lie, in a post ostensibly to praise the police (and to be clear, praise there well earned, in my view!)… does NOT redeem his choice to demonize the status of hundreds of thousands of very healthy, self-actualizing individuals who identify as trans- in one way or another — to tar them by association, with a serial killer.
I am virtually certain that at least one of Scott’s classmates, either in his private high school, undergrad, or in his law school classes… has committed murder. [It is a sad fact, of 20th Century American life, even in his insular elite schooling / life.]
Yet no one says that St. Paul’s Prep, or Dartmouth or Stanford Law classes… caused the killer to kill — and tar Scott, by association.
DAMN. Killers need to be condemned for the ACT of killing, not the status of being whyte, male, female, or non-binary… or green eyed.
Sit down, Scott. Just. sit. down.
