Well… Scott is precious again this morning. Back on the Twitter story. So… lost, is he.
As EmptyWheel pointed out, this morning — the frothy far right once used to care about businesses under SEC consent decrees making their customers’ private details available to “journalists” — for private political retribution… as something the government ought not allow.
But Scott Johnson cannot even keep track of the players, here — let alone what constitutionally protected interests are actually in play.
Here’s EW — Scott, sit down and learn, at her feet, from a cogent review of these goofy hearings:
…Taibbi described that someone besides Elon Musk invited him to have unfettered access to a company under a consent decree. Given the likelihood that this person was not even a Twitter employee, it gives the FTC far more reason to want to know why a company under a consent decree made information on individual users available to journalists….
Yeh — Scott, I’m old enough to remember when the real conservatives would have been more troubled by what EW points out, above — than this stupid clown show the GOP is running.
Out.
