UPDATED @ 3:45 pm EDT — it includes the Espionage Act (18 USC § 793 — that is Docket No. 17, unsealed). Tangerine is… essentially… COOKED.
This silly cha-cha worked reasonably well for the boys, with the Mueller Report: have a flak (Billie Barr) release a redacted summary memo, that COMPLETELY mis-states the gravamen of the actual findings.
Get the frothy right pundits to scream loudly, day and night — until the rice field is… carpet bombed — with the lies.
But not this time.
Steve Hayward Scott Johnson argues these were launch codes. No reliable source said that. The sources said classified “nuclear weapons documents”.
And… significantly… Thomas Barrack is set to go to trial in Brooklyn (facing what will effectively be life in prison, if he gets a decade on the felonies, at age 76), in about six weeks… for working in secret with the UAE, to elevate that kingdom, over the Saudis and others, in official policies of Tangerine’s. And Jared just got $2 billion from the Saud family.
It is reasonably likely that Trump has/had some documents (classified originals) that turned up as copies in the Barrack indictment deliverables. And much the same, with Jared, and the 1.6.21 DoJ interviews he voluntarily gave.
One need not even stretch to assume Tangerine would be offering our secrets, perhaps for sale even, from the basement of Mar-A-Lago.
To sum up: this is unlikely to be about simple launch codes. It IS likely to be about how, when, where and in what ways… nukes are assembled, quality-tested and deployed by the US.
Maybe even a fool-proof how to on how to build a dirty bomb, and get away clean from an urban area.
But let’s see what the warrant actually lists, under 18 USC § 793.
Out.
