Okay, this story offers at least seven layers of… delicious irony. Let’s start with the most obvious: her husband’s family is formally aligned with a power-bank in London. So the idea that she’s moving “her” money to a “neighborhood bank”, presumably in Nashville (and I’ll bet you a real nickel it’s NOT a black owned bank!)… is very droll.
All the real economic power in her relationship is almost certainly banking in London, with a mega-bank — likely an affiliate of old Phibro-Salomon, the metals trading firm her pops-in-law worked at, before founding his own brand — and retiring as the fabulously-wealthy Baron Farmer, to serve in the House of… LORDS. [The parent entity of that successor entity is now owned by Citibank’s BHC — Citigroup.]
I’d bet a real, right-wise Pound Sterling on that. All this means is… when the authorities finally get around to seizing the proceeds of Candace’s various grifts (cheaply-hackable Chinese phones — for $400 (a 300 per cent markup); undelivered donations to DC metro-area police during the BLM uprisings (~$50,000); funds taken from contributors, for legal fees (likely now approaching $100,000) on a lawsuit she long ago lost, but didn’t tell them… and on and on — including a foundation with a claimed 40 employees — that pays over 85% of all its donated funds out to her, personally, as a $300,000 salary each year), it will be only a smallish neighborhood bank account is… closed out. Not a Chase or JP Morgan one. [Or a Salomon Bros. / Citigroup one — as hubs will smartly keep the far larger family assets (in London) shielded from her manifold coming state-side legal troubles.]
Next, whether I agree with Mr. Trudeau’s latest moves in Canada or not, is irrelevant — their laws are not the same as ours in the lower 48. He is our close ally, and good neighbor — but his actions will not control what happens in the US.
Down here, it is not remotely that simple to seize bank accounts of 18 wheeler companies — even ones comprised of felonious actors — at least not until an indictment has issued. Up there — who knows? But make no mistake: this is CONDUCT, and these are actions — not pure speech he is going after, now. Blocking commerce with an 18 wheel rig, on a key bridge is a crime (both here and there). And Mr. Trudeau’s entitled to prosecute it.
Down here, the AUSAs would need an indictment — to get a freeze order on the assets (and bank accounts) of an 18 wheeler company which was engaged in a series of felony offenses.
So the next level of irony is that Owens says she’s pulled her US bank accounts from JP Morgan, to avoid a Canadian over-reach. Charming. [I guess she doesn’t understand the principles of non-extraterritorial jurisdiction.]
The final irony here is that she then waxes in lunatic fashion about some Q Anon level “global world order” taking over our lives, and refusing to let us all live… free. All while her children grow up as members of that supposed new world order, and her hubs helps run it. [If one is at least susceptible to — or secretly adheres to — such fevered rubbish.]
This after she actually contracted COVID late this past fall, from being unmasked in close proximity to other COVID carriers. And… wait for it — she says she’s due with a second baby in July 2022. If both of those statements are true… she likely had COVID in the earliest days of her current pregnancy. And she at least says she’s unvaccinated.
Sadly, this makes her unborn baby an unwilling guinea pig — for her ignorant, terrible health care choices. And her… avoidable outcomes.
I truly wish the very best for that baby. He or she had no possible way to… pick better parents — so I will seek to help (and educate) them, wherever and whenever I can (just as I would her first born, a son).
But it is supremely ironic that she was just two weeks ago telling Kim K. how to parent (about Kim’s Tik-Tok curated feeds, for North West), thus involving herself in a complete stranger’s private family life decisions — because she wanted to curry favor with the estranged dad, Kanye West.
That may be the most… Turning Points thing… ever.
I hope she doesn’t live to regret all this very public irresponsibility. The world — especially the far right world — might turn on her, on a dime.
Then she’d only have her husband’s metals, banking, hedge fund, and investment banking fortunes… to live off of.
Hilarious. Yes… Candace Owen’s Twitter feed: where irony goes… to die.
