Watching Gab.com Die, In Real Time… @ $7,500 A Day, In A Pure Cash Burn.

I can guarantee you that this site (like Parler, before it) will never generate revenue of $7,500 a day — or about $225,000 a month — or… $2.7 million a year.

The content sucks. White grievance 100 per cent of the time, all day every day. Occasional sprinkles of lunatic Q myths, with side dishes of anti-vax, and hateful X-tian rhetoric, for good measure.

Audience is far too narrow. Oh — and the tech sucks. It goes down all the time. Here’s the plea, over there:

It costs $ 7,500 a day to operate Gab. 100% of this is funded by people like you who upgrade to GabPRO, buy merchandise from our store, and make donations. You help us keep the lights on and feed our families.

What does that $ 7,500 a day pay for?

7 American software engineers
8 American support, marketing, and design staff
5 data centers around the world with new hardware owned by Gab
American lawyers and accountants

The free flow of information for ~20 million people every month….

[Hinderaker says he’s joined Parler (which has been offline for 50 days straight, in a fight between the Mercer family and the former CEO), but not Gab. That alone ought to kill it (this is called… sarcasm, folks)!]

Gab’s proprietor also says this afternoon that conservatives on Twitter are caged animals. But on Gab, they roam free — menacing, and striking fear in the Left’s heart. [Putting aside the not insubstantial chance that this is Jan. 6 style insurrection solicitation / felony crime on the hoof… and DoJ and DHS are certainly watching…] Gosh… that’s just so…

Precious.

Onward, grinning.
