With the above link, John has tacitly admitted that whether Kavanaugh is telling the truth is… irrelevant to him, any longer. He said that Kavanaugh’s performance was “good but not great.” Said another way, John admits the witness was way over-prepped, and simply repeated a tiny number of puzzlingly terse but well-rehearsed sound-bites.
That is — Kavanaugh is trying to avoid lying under oath — come Thursday. Welcome to post-truth 2018 Supreme Court attempted ram-rodding — by the GOP’s far right. So yes — John is all but conceding (as McConnell did, earlier on Monday) that Kavanaugh’s fate will almost certainly fall, and die — on the floor vote, on Thursday. [BTW, since you wrote yours, Mr. Avenatti now alleges Kavanaugh and Judge organized booze- and drug- induced attempted and completed gang sexual assaults, on various women, in bathrooms — at “parties“… and this is separate from his exposing himself at a party to a Yale woman.]
