Here on Friday night, parroting a fellow traveler in the high annals of illogical (and racial) sophistry, Mr. Hinderaker pretends (I think) not to understand that things are just a bit different — for a sitting President (like 45) — when he himself is one of the targets of an investigation (touching on treason, no less), than when Mr. Obama long ago suggested some sensible discretion in cases involving disadvantaged youth, that were no family, kin, friend or relation to 44. [Obstruction requires that one be deeply embedded with the target of the investigation, see Johnny? That’s why it isn’t “just politics” to shut down investigations into one’s OWN lawlessness. Sheesh.]
Back to his post: to get to his pungent punchline, here (with any sense of “normal” logic), Mr. Hinderaker must implicitly equate the youths’ skin color (they were black)… to Mr. Obama’s core identity. They “are” Mr. Obama, himself, in John’s sadly myopic world view. He has apparently decided that being black made these kids the same as Mr. Obama being the target of that long ago prosecution, himself. No matter that no one on the planet ever even said so, let alone offered evidence (because… well, you know). Charming, John. Charming.
I will choose to charitably believe that Mr. Hinderaker has chosen to offer these illogical lies — knowing full well they are lies (as his sad and twisted form of political theater) — rather than to suggest (again) that he is a dog-whistling racist — and actually believes this excrement he offers.
Or at least I’d like to be that charitable — but his history suggests otherwise. 17 years and counting…. now.
Even so — I will laugh loudly — at this lap poodle for 45 — the worst President in a century or more, for certain now. We are about eight months from the lap poodle needing to find a new master. Go get him, Mr. Mueller.
