As now, in about eight months’ time, Mr. Mueller will deliver a true bill — and Congress will face a Nixson-ian echo moment. Let the sitting President fight a felony obstruction of justice indictment in the US District Court for DC, or draw up articles of impeachment.
And insist that he resign, or face a vote for impeachment. I believe enough in the rule of law, and the elite GOP, that they will be willing to bring that to a vote.
